The second major championship of the 2023 golf season is here.

Who will win the 2023 PGA Championship? Despite being the defending champion, Justin Thomas — who last year beat Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff to win the Wanamaker Trophy — is not the favorite. That instead goes to world No. 1 Jon Rahm (+700), who won the Masters in April.

Though golf is an individual sport — at least, on the PGA Tour — there was a noted tension in Augusta between PGA Tour loyalists and LIV Golf defectors. That only became more pronounced when Rahm came back in the fourth round at the Masters to beat Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson, LIV defectors who finished tied for second behind the Spanish golfer.

It remains to be seen whether those tensions will remain in place as the tour progresses through its 2023 season. The Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y., will serve as the next stage for the world's top players.
