PGA Championship 2016: Adam Scott's final round highs offset by lows image

Adam Scott's day at the PGA Championship was a thrill ride. Winning, however, was not on the program.

Consider his opportunities to advance on leader Jimmy Walker. Scott carded two birdies and an eagle on the first nine holes of Sunday's final round. But like any roller coaster, highs were accompanied by lows.

Scott also had three bogeys by the time he made turn. With Walker at 11 under, Scott could have been a stroke off the lead had he avoided the flubs.

But oh, how sweet the ride was.

Rain forced many players complete their third-round play on Sunday before the fourth round began.

Scores from Balustrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J.

Jason Day is defending champion and holder of the Wanamaker Trophy. Scott ended at 5 under.
