The hunt for the Claret Jug is on.

The 2024 Open Championship is here, as 156 golfers are in Scotland at Royal Troon with the hopes of winning the prestigious Claret Job. The event is the fourth and final major on the PGA Tour, providing a chance for one golfer to etch his name into PGA history.

Brian Harman enters this year as the defending champion at the Open Championship. Harman dominated the tournament at Prestwick Golf Club in 2023, defeating the field by six strokes to claim his first major. He seeks to become the first back-to-back winner of the Claret Jug in 16 years.

It shouldn't be a surprise to see that 2024 Masters winner and World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler is the favorite in South Ayrshire. The Texan is up to six wins so far in 2024 alone, an incredibly impressive feat. Other favorites at the event are 2014 Open Championship winner Rory McIlroy, 2024 PGA Championship victor Xander Schauffele and 2024 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau.

The four-day action begins Thursday in Scotland.
