It's been a year and a half since Phil Mickelson took down Tiger Woods on the 22nd overall hole of "The Match" to win $9 million in prize money. For the rematch, they decided to call up NFL legends Tom Brady and Peyton Manning to join them.
In 2018, the showdown between Mickelson and Woods was intense, which made them focus on winning over banter. They barely talked toward the end, and turned a fun exhibition into a poor viewing experience. Brady and Manning are supposedly here to fix that.
The trash-talking has been in full force in preparation for the match, so we'll see if the future NFL Hall-of-Famers are successfully able to liven things up. Either way, sports icons will be competing in a live athletic competition on a Sunday afternoon. That alone should be a massive draw.
Sporting News collected everything you need to know on how and when to watch "The Match 2."
