While the weather might have been bad at Augusta, the golfers certainly weren't.

Early eyes focused on Tiger Woods (+4) and Ian Poulter (+2), but none seemed to make the statement that golf fans were hoping that the two 42-year-olds would. Luckily there were other stars that broke out throughout the rainy Saturday.

Rory McIlroy (-11) shot his way up the leaderboard and moved his way to second in the Masters — just three behind leader Patrick Reed (-14) who put on quite a show.

Even through all the rain — and the highs and lows it brought fans — things were certainly interesting to say the least. Catch up on the highlights of Round 3 at Augusta with our live updates and 2018 Masters leaderboard below.

Masters 2018: Highlights from Round 3

6:40 p.m. Finally, Reed ends his tournament at 14-under par and the sole leader of the tournament so far.

6:25 p.m. McIlroy also finishes up his day 11-under, three behind the current leader — Patrick Reed.

6:16 p.m. Jordan Spieth ends his day 5-under as he goes into Sunday.

6:05 p.m. Another Patrick Reed (-15) eagle at No. 15!

6:00 p.m. This hour in umbrella news: Patrick Reed is apparently using a USA Ryder Cup umbrella to keep himself dry.

5:55 p.m. Rickie Fowler gets the first bogey-free round of this Masters and hits the week's best round at 7-under-65. He's at 9-under par for the tournament and sitting at third place.

5:53 p.m. McIlroy (-10) hits the close putt on 15 to move three back from the lead.

5:30 p.m. Reed is looking like a champion on the course today! An eagle on 13 grows his lead.

5:29 p.m. Don't count out Jon Rahm. He's finding ways to stand out in the tournament, even if he's not in the lead.

5:25 p.m. Patrick Reed (-11) has made it to the 13th as the sole leader of the tournament — two above Rory McIlroy — and is twirling his way to victory.

5:12 p.m. The weather report from the Masters indicating that the rain is will pass through soon (right) and some more appears to be on the way (left).

5:10 p.m. Jon Rahm is on a roll today! He scores another birdie on 17 and moves to 7-under on the day. He's hit five birdies and an eagle to move in to 8-under for the tournament.

4:57 p.m. Tommy Fleetwood shot a 6-under 66 at Augusta. Here's a highlight from 16.

4:49 That's once, twice, three times a birdie for Patrick Reed (-12) who now has a three shot lead over the rest of the Masters pack.

4:44 p.m. A double-bogey moves Dustin Johnson to 3-under par through 11 holes.

4:19 p.m. Patrick Reed gets a birdie on No. 8 to extend his lead over McIlroy to one — putting Reed at 10-under for the tournament.

4:13 p.m. Jordan Spieth gets the birdie on No. 9 moving to 3-under par for the tournament.

4:05 p.m. An eagle for McIlroy! He moves to 9-under par for the tournament and moves up tied for first place.

4:02 p.m. Some highlights from Stenson's impressive No. 7 outing.

3:57 p.m. Dustin Johnson continues to take advantage of the situations in front of him and gets the birdie on No. 8 to move to 5-under par for the tournament.

3:45 p.m. Henrik Stenson chips it in from deep into the bunker. Absolutely Textbook on No. 7. He moves to 5-under for the tournament. McIlroy misses out on birdie and gets par on the hole.

3:40 p.m. Bounceback birdy for Jordan Spieth on No. 7 to move to 4-under par for the tournament.

3:31 p.m. Patrick Reed (-8) is at a bogey on the day and his lead has dropped to just one above second. McIlroy (-7) moves into second after getting a birdie on No. 6.

3:27 p.m. Here's the highlight of McIlroy's amazing chip!

3:20 p.m. McIlroy had trouble getting out of the sand trap but he was able to get a great chip onto the green — much to the crowd's delight. Unfortunately, he was unable to capitalize and missed the chance for birdie.

3:13 p.m. Jon Rahm chips in the shot for an eagle at No. 8

3:11 p.m. Jordan Spieth gets himself out of the sand trap for a chance at birdie. Meanwhile Rickie Fowler has been on a roll recently. He's been 4-under through six holes today and 6-under for the tournament.

2:59 p.m. Rory McIlroy cashes in with a long putt for birdie through three holes to get to 5-under par.

2:48 p.m. Tiger Woods finishes his Saturday with an even-par 72. For the tournament he remains at 4-over par.

2:37 p.m. Some highlights from the golfers with the afternoon start.

2:14 p.m. Tiger Woods birdies the par 3 16th after a wonderful tee shot left him with a two-foot putt.

1:52 p.m. Now some full highlights from the day so far — in case you're just joining us.

1:43 p.m. No. 16 continues to give golfers trouble as Mickelson misses a short putt for birdie and is forced to settle for the tap-in par. But Hatton decides to break the streak and sinks the birdie.

1:31 p.m. The first and second of Fitzpatrick's streak.

1:22 p.m. Matthew Fitzpatrick is on a roll for the day hitting 5-under par on this Saturday. He has hit two birdies and an eagle on Nos. 12, 14 and 15, respectively.

1:19 p.m. Bryson DeChambeau started his day off with three bogeys in his first five holes, and he hasn't improved much. He comes up just short on a putt for birdie that appeared to be around a couple inches away from the hole. He settles for the tap-in putt for par.

1:16 p.m. Woods unfortunately can't take advantage of the great positioning and settles for a short par on a hole that's given him so much trouble this tournament. Poulter quickly follows suit and sinks the par putt.

1:10 p.m. Woods is having some fun and laughing at how well he struck the ball off the tee on No. 12. It lands well into the green and he remains at 4-over par.  Lucky to avoid the water for the third day in a row.

12:53 p.m. Watch Phil Mickelson (+6) hit the driver at just 217 yards away.

12:47 p.m. Tyrell Hatton just narrowly misses the putt for birdie, covers his mouth to prevent saying a curse word out loud and throws his putter against the ground. Good news: he made the easy tap-in for par

12:27 p.m. Tiger Woods is still showing signs of life hitting a birdie through nine to go just four-over par.

12:16 p.m. Watch Phil whiff early to put him in the position he's in now.

12:13 p.m. Mickelson continues to show up and show out. A birdie on No. 9 brings him up another slot in the leaderboard down to 6-over par.

12:01 p.m. The famous lefty takes full advantage of the risky driver use and sinks the eagle on the eighth! He's making up for lost ground and now moves to 7-over par.

11:58 a.m. Mickelson (+9) uses the driver off the deck from 271 away on wet grass. This is why these guys are professionals.

11:55 a.m. Poulter (+5) rides the momentum gained from his previous hole to sink an impressive birdie on No. 6. Tiger Woods (+5) does the same — just his sixth birdie of the tournament.

11:49 a.m. After the broadcast showed three golfers missing birdie putts in a row, Mickelson sinks the distant putt to save par after starting No. 7 in a less-than-ideal fashion. Ian Poulter does the same saving par on No. 5.

11:44 a.m. The 48-year-old lefty does escape from the woods and has the opportunity to save for par.

11:40 a.m. Mickelson (+9) has said that he's not felt comfortable with his swing so far in the tournament and it shows on the seventh hole where he hooks it into the crowd as the rest of his group hits the fairway.
