The biggest event on the golf calendar will begin on Thursday: the 2023 Masters.

Reigning champion Scottie Scheffler will look for his second major win on the heels of his victory at The Players Championship in Florida last month. However, the field at Augusta National is stacked, befitting perhaps golf's most prestigious tournament.

No Masters conversation is complete without bringing up Tiger Woods, who returns to the fold in what's been a sparse calendar for him since his 2021 car accident. He finished 47th at last year's Masters.

Rory McIlroy is still chasing his first green jacket to complete a career grand slam of the majors. He finished second last year behind Scheffler, three strokes off the lead.
