Derek Jeter checks President Barack Obama, denies getting 30 strokes in cash match image

Derek Jeter and President Barack Obama met in Cuba on Tuesday during the historic baseball game between the Rays and the Cuban national team. Jeter used the occasion to call out Obama over an old golf match.

In 2014, the two played for money. Obama lost, but he said he spotted Jeter 30 strokes, implying he was much better at the game than Jeter.

On Tuesday, Jeter joked Obama's story wasn't entirely true.

"It was all about him embellishing the golf game," Jeter said, via Golf.com. "I told him I was coming after him for a defamation of character suit. He told everyone he gave me 30 strokes on the golf course, which is very untrue.

"I took his money, so he wants it back."

It sounds like a rematch is in order.
