The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate women's golf tournament is back for its 12th year and will once again be hosted by country music star Darius Rucker.
The event will be played at the Long Cove Club on Hilton Head Island, with South Carolina serving as the home team. Rucker himself is an alum of South Carolina.
“It’s an honor to have my name attached to an event that showcases such an elite level of golf,” Rucker recently told LOCAL Life. “When we started this tournament, I would have never dreamed of it being televised live on the Golf Channel. The fact that we can provide an opportunity to showcase women’s golf and grow the game is what I am most proud of. Long Cove Club has been a great partner since the beginning, and we couldn’t ask for a better host for the tournament.”
LSU won last year's tournament after trailing by four strokes in the final round of the event. The Tigers will look to defend their title against a field that includes highly ranked teams like host South Carolina, Wake Forest, Texas and Oregon.
Some of the top names to follow along are South Carolina's Hannah Darling and Louise Rydqvist, Wake Forest's Rachel Kuehn, LSU's Ingrid Lindblad and Auburn's Megan Schofill.

The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate women's college golf tournament will tee off Monday, March 4 at 9:20 a.m. ET, with play beginning from the No. 1 and No. 10 tees at the same time the next two days as well.
