The first two days of the 2024 British Open are behind us and nearly half the field is headed home. Eighty golfers remain in the running at Royal Troon for Saturday's Round 3, led by Shane Lowry, who is working toward his second Claret Jug.
In front at 7 under par, Lowry sits two strokes ahead of Daniel Brown and Justin Rose. Lowry ended the second round with a birdie-par-birdie sequence on his last three holes, bouncing back from a double bogey on the 11th hole.
Notably missing the cut are Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy. McIlroy had made it past Round 2 every Open appearance since 2019, but his 11-over finish this year wasn't good enough to make it to day three.
Here's everything you need to know about Round 3 of the British Open, including tee times, pairings and featured groups for the 2024 tournament.
