The 2017 British Open teed off Thursday, July 20, at Royal Birkdale in Southport, England. The golf tournament, known internationally as The Open Championship, will finish Sunday, July 23, with the winner hoisting the Claret Jug

The world's oldest major golf championship (this year's edition will be the 146th) returns to Royal Birkdale for the first time since 2008. This will be the 10th time Royal Birkdale has hosted the British Open.

The par-70 links course measures 7,156 yards. Royal Birkdale has held more championship and international events since World War II than any other course in the world.

Saturday

Round 3 will be shown on Golf Channel beginning at 4:30 a.m. ET. Coverage will switch to NBC at 7 a.m. and continue there until 3 p.m. An NBC encore presentation will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Sunday

Coverage of Round 4 will begin at 4 a.m. on Golf Channel and move to NBC at 7 a.m., where it will continue until 2 p.m.

For Canadian viewers, Round 4 coverage starts at 4 a.m. on TSN, with Round 4, Part 2 on 7 a.m., also on TSN.
