Ghana coach Avram Grant has shed light on Tuesday's friendly win over Uzbek side Bunyodkor.

Substitutes Asamoah Gyan and Frank Acheampong netted second half goals to give the Black Stars a 2-0 triumph at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai, UAE.

The match forms part of Ghana’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations holding in Gabon between January 14 and February 5.

"It is always good to win," Grant told Sports360.

"But obviously, we do want to take some lessons from this game because we tried some things that are a bit new.

"It's good to see how the players implemented those things here."

The former Chelsea manager is also full of praise for Gyan, who scored with his first touch of the game on 67 minutes.

"Gyan is an amazing striker," Grant said.

"Look at his stats compared to the minutes he played.

"His career is amazing so I'm not surprised he scored.

"He knows how to do it. He knows how to put the ball in the net."

Ghana have been pitted against Uganda, Mali and Egypt in Group D of the Afcon.

The Black Stars will open their campaign against the Cranes on January 17.
