Daily Fantasy Football Strategy: Projecting the highest DFS ownership for NFL Week 14 image

Projecting the highest owned players in daily fantasy football contests ahead of Thursday night's Vikings-Cardinals game will ideally provide an edge in large-field tournaments. It's also just fun to predict ownership before DFS Report's FanDuel Thursday ownership recap.

Fade higher-owned players to a certain degree in GPPs, but don't avoid them completely; they're high-owned for a reason and do provide foundational blocks for the more creative lineups that can win tournaments. After dissecting the indicators, these players boast a case for high DFS ownership on FanDuel in Week 14.

Who will be the highest-owned QBs in Week 14?

Ben Roethlisberger ($8,300/QB6 on FanDuel) just ripped a secondary to shreds on the highest-rated weekly television program. The $1,000 in savings on Tom Brady, whose receivers dropped eight passes in the premier late-afternoon contest, will certainly benefit Big Ben's ownership percentage. Jameis Winston ($7,800/QB11), who is rapidly accruing Offensive Rookie of the Year buzz, finally has his "Three Towers" healthy and gets that Saints matchup bump.

Projected DFS ownership, Week 14 RBs

The influx of casual and first-time DFS players will see Adrian Peterson ($8,200/RB2) $500 off the RB ceiling and click. That's not to say it's a novice play either, especially in GPPs where people will capitalize on AP's bad week with a potential bargain. David Johnson ($6,500/RB18) has seen a price increase, but should still find many Thursday contest lineups after coming through as the trendy play with high usage and solid production last week Sunday.

Who will be the highest-owned WRs in Week 14?

Allen Robinson ($8,500/WR5) has put together too many explosions at bargain prices to be low-owned anymore. Too much tourney lineups hit jackpot with him, and FanDuel has adjusted his price, but not enough that the masses won't rush over following a three-score game. Indy's secondary just got diced on Sunday Night Football, and that's fresh in minds. Odell Beckham ($9,300/WR1) is always a lock for high ownership once the DFS pool gets that "my fantasy league's done" influx.

Projected DFS ownership, Week 14 TEs

The floor on Delanie Walker ($6,100/TE5) will make him a top-five play every week, especially when there are still four tight ends priced higher. Walker visits the Jets, who allowed the Giants' backup tight end to pick up some relatively easy yards in a high-profile game last week. Austin Seferian-Jenkins ($5,500/TE13) figures to be a sneaky tournament play at a relatively low price given the upside, as the Saints' struggling defense awaits.
