Who’s Hot: Straight from High-A, Jose Fernandez wasn’t just the best NL rookie last year, he was one of the league’s best pitchers. He fanned 187 in just 172.2 innings while posting a 2.19 ERA. … Christian Yelich performed well after his promotion from Double-A, batting .288 with four homers and 10 steals in 62 games.
Who’s Not: Pretty much the entire Marlins offense, including Giancarlo Stanton, who saw his homer total drop from 37 to 24. … Former prospect Rob Brantly is going to have to wait longer after his poor campaign with the Marlins signing Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
Who’s Hurt: Stanton missed 39 games in '12 (knee) and then 46 games last season (hamstring). It’s not fair to call him injury prone, but fantasy owners can’t completely ignore those 85 games missed in two seasons.
