EXTRA TIME: Marseille legends Drogba and Mido reunite at 2018 World Cup image

Former Cote d’Ivoire international Didier Drogba and Egypt international Mido have reunited at the 2018 Fifa World Cup opening ceremony in Russia.

The duo lit up the French Ligue 1 with 26 goals between them in the 2003-04 season, thus, guiding the Olympians to the final of the Uefa Europa League in the 2003-04 season where they lost 2-0 to Valencia.

14 years after they both played together at the Stade Velodrome outfit, Mido and the two-time African Footballer of the Year joined other football legends to see Russia defeat Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the first game of the2018 World Cup.

The Egypt legend will be cheering the Pharaohs when they kick off their World Cup campagn against Uruguay on Friday. Despite Cote d'Ivoire's absence at the football fiesta, the Phoenix Rising forward is delighted to meet his former teammate.
