When the United States women's national team announced the starting lineup for the team's Tuesday match against England, a notable name was missing: co-captain Megan Rapinoe, who had scored all four of the U.S. team's knockout round goals against Spain and France.

No reason was given by coach Jill Ellis for Rapinoe not being on the field for the USWNT's match vs. England in the FIFA Women's World Cup semifinal. Fox Sports host Rob Stone later said on air during halftime that Rapinoe has a reported hamstring injury.

While the loss certainly stings, especially as it relates to the USWNT's offensive capability, the U.S. managed to win 2-1 and advance to the gold cup match.

There's no word, however, whether Rapinoe will be able to suit up for the U.S. in its next match.
