The FIFA U-17 World Cup bid adieu to Kochi, not with a bang but a whimper. Despite the attendance conundrum, it did churn out something magical for football fanatics to enjoy.
Eunoians, a creative studio which had its employees registered as volunteers for the mega-event, had plans to bring their creativity into the volunteer centre. What happens when artists are confined to a football stadium with blank walls all around them? Art is born. 
When two FIFA volunteers, Azeem and Harikrishnan, came forward with the intention to contribute something ‘out of the box’ as part of the tournament arrangements and the venue volunteer officer Aisha Nazia had the vision to make use of their creative skills, the end result was a combination of art and football in a manner never seen before.
Once the ideas were formed, the two volunteers roped in their team going by the name Eunoians Creative Studio and applied their magical touch to the volunteer centre walls. For three full days and nights, Eunoians, led by creative director Seerow Unni stationed themselves inside the volunteer centre whereby the plain, white walls of the room began to give birth to daily life forms sharing a deep connection with football. But, even before making the first brushstroke, the team had to erect a makeshift white wall using forex sheet to cover a glass panelling that stood as an obstacle.
The team even used a bit of magical realism so as to manifest the football madness of the local populace. A spectator could see a boy climbing a coconut tree to pluck fully ripen footballs instead of coconuts, a fisherman paddling his boat through the Kerala backwaters with a fresh, swelling catch of Footballs instead of fishes etc. The main wall even depicts a solar system with a gigantic football replacing the sun at its centre and all the other forms of life orbiting around it. The team beautifully combined semi-realistic imagery, iconography, doodling and typography plus freeform tangle to arrive at the stunning end result to win over the hearts of art and football aficionados alike.
The ability to communicate through sketches is a special gift. To appease football lovers with art is even more of a difficult task and these guys have worked their socks off to ensure that these walls inside the stadium emanated magic. And this is how they did it:
