Yahoo NFL DFS Picks Week 8: Daily fantasy football lineup advice for GPP tournaments image

Week 8 can't be as weird as Week 7 was, right? Because my Yahoo NFL DFS tournament lineup was a dumpster fire. We stacked Jimmy Garoppolo, Tevin Coleman and Dante Pettis in what amounted to a monsoon. We played David Johnson, who mysteriously got the first carry and then was never heard from again. No amount of Saquon Barkley, Gerald Everett and Tyler Lockett goodness could save us from that. So, I can say with almost certain confidence that our Week 8 daily fantasy football GPP picks will be better.

We're attacking Week 8 with a Bills stack against a leaky Eagles' secondary. Josh Allen and John Brown both have good floors -- Allen with his rushing and Brown with his target share -- and good ceilings. As long as there's no monsoon in Buffalo (which hey, it's Buffalo, so check to be sure), our QB-WR stack will have a much better Week 8 than Week 7's did.

WEEK 8 NON-PPR RANKINGS

NFL DFS Week 8: Yahoo GPP Lineup Picks

QB Josh Allen, Bills vs. Eagles ($30). The Eagles are among the 10-best defenses a fantasy quarterback can face, according to fantasy points allowed. Ronald Darby might be healthy for a revenge game, but he's not actually that good, so that's sort of irrelevant. Allen is usually a great DFS play at his price, and this matchup puts him over the top.

RB Austin Ekeler, Chargers @ Bears ($19). I'm hoping the "@ Chicago" scares people away. The Bears' run defense isn't what it was with Akiem Hicks, and besides, L.A. is using Ekeler as a dynamic playmaker on the outside, too.

WEEK 8 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end

RB Josh Jacobs, Raiders @ Texans ($25). Jacobs has exceeded 20 carries and 120 rushing yards in each of the last two games. With a workload like that, we'll keep riding him until he cools down.

WR John Brown, Bills vs. Eagles ($23). Brown's become more than just a deep threat this season -- but he's still that, too. He provides a great tournament mix of floor and upside.

Week 8 DFS Lineups:
Y! Cash | Y! GPP | FD Cash | FD GPP | DK Cash | DK GPP

WR Corey Davis, Titans vs. Buccaneers ($14). Ryan Tannehill seems to have brought life to the Tennessee passing attack. Davis is uber talented, and now he might actually get a chance to make plays. If that continues happening, his price will rise, so we'll take a bet on his last true value week.

WR Cooper Kupp, Rams vs. Bengals in UK ($27). The Bengals can be passed on, but teams generally opt to run because they can't defend that, either. The Rams just seem intent on letting Jared Goff air it out most weeks, though, so I have no doubt Kupp will get a chance at numbers.

WEEK 8: Waiver wire | FAAB planner | Trade valuesSnap counts

TE Ricky Seals-Jones, Browns @ Patriots ($11). Off a bye and against New England, Seals-Jones should be barely owned. But before the bye, his playing time was encouraging, and I expect Baker Mayfield to have to throw to stay in this game as the Pats try and shut down Nick Chubb.

FLEX DeAndre Hopkins, Texans vs. Raiders ($32). Aaron Rodgers just threw five touchdowns against Oakland. Give me one of the best wide receivers in football heading into a matchup with that broken secondary.

D/ST New Orleans Saints vs. Cardinals ($18). The Saints' defense continues to prove its worth, and now it gets a rookie QB in Kyler Murray, who has yet to throw a road touchdown.
