Yahoo Fantasy Football Week 12: NFL DFS picks, lineup advice for cash games image

This is one of the most balanced Yahoo cash lineups we've done in some time. Entering the Week 12 NFL DFS Sunday slate, things are a bit strange, as there are 10 teams -- including the Chiefs, Rams, Saints, and Falcons -- who will be unavailable. We had to get a bit creative to differentiate our daily fantasy football lineup picks, and we went with a combination of normal and contra-stacks to ensure that might happen.

In short, what that means is we leaned heavy on one team in our lineup. We opted for a QB-WR Colts stack and grabbed their defense on the cheap in what should be a great matchup for all involved. Elsewhere, we targeted the mid-tier price range at most positions to get a lot of underpriced big-name players that could have breakouts in Week 12.

Week 12 Rankings:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

The name of the game in NFL DFS is finding the breakout players, and we should have a good chance to have at least one. Here's a look at our full Yahoo cash game lineup for Week 12.

Week 12 Yahoo Fantasy Football: NFL DFS picks for cash games

QB Andrew Luck, Colts vs. Dolphins ($35). In cash games, it's all about finding consistency. Luck is the epitome of that. Since Week 4, Luck has thrown at least three TDs in every game. That gives him an insanely high floor, but he also has the potential to explode for a lot of passing yards at any point, as well. The Dolphins rank ninth in fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to QBs, but those numbers are a bit fluky, as they limited some poor QBs to minimal points early in the season. Luck should have a chance to expose them, and as the second-highest priced option at QB, he's worth the investment.

RB Nick Chubb, Browns @ Bengals ($27). Chubb has another good matchup coming off a bye week against a Bengals defense that has been shredded in recent weeks. Chubb had his best game as a pro against the weak Falcons defense, totaling 206 scrimmage yards and two scores in that contest. He should have a chance for similar production against Cincinnati, and we like him as the seventh-highest priced RB on the slate.

WEEK 12 DFS CASH LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

RB Matt Breida, 49ers @ Buccaneers ($27). Breida has a matchup that should be just as solid as Chubb's, and he comes at the same price point. The Buccaneers have struggled against the run since the midpoint of the season, and Breida is coming off a bye that should afford him the chance to get fully healthy. He looked closer to 100 percent his last time out against the Giants, and he had 132 scrimmage yards and two scores in that contest. Breida should have another good game, so we'll get a couple of high-volume, high-upside backs while saving $13 on the positional ceiling.

WR T.Y. Hilton, Colts vs. Dolphins ($22). Hilton came on strong last week by catching two TDs and is certainly seeing softer coverage because of the presence and performance of both Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle. The Dolphins are a middle-of-the-road team against receivers, but they have struggled in recent weeks against the likes of Will Fuller, DeAndre Hopkins, and Davante Adams. Hilton could put forth a solid performance as a result, so he can be trusted, especially given the potential of stacking him with Luck.

WR Mike Evans, Buccaneers vs. 49ers ($23). I'm frankly shocked by this pricing on Evans. He hasn't been consistent this year, but the 49ers have give up a ton of points to No. 1 receivers. In four of the past five games, the 49ers have allowed at least one WR to total 13.1 or more fantasy points. That, plus Evans' two-TD performance last week, makes him a great value option who could ultimately be one of our top scorers.

WEEK 12 DFS GPP LINEUPS: Yahoo | FanDuel | DraftKings

WR Keenan Allen, Chargers vs. Cardinals ($23). Like Evans, Allen feels underpriced. The Cardinals allow the eighth-fewest FPPG to WRs, and they employ Patrick Peterson who could limit Allen. Still, Philip Rivers and the Chargers love to throw the ball, and Allen is averaging over 10 targets per game in the past three weeks. He'll have opportunities to produce and in cash games, he is definitely a high-floor option because of this.

TE Vance McDonald, Steelers @ Broncos ($15). Last week, the Broncos surrendered five catches, 80 yards, and a TD to Antonio Gates. Vance McDonald is better than Gates at this point in their respective careers, and McDonald has scored in consecutive games. He's a potential boom option, so buying low at this price is well worth it.

FLEX D.J. Moore, Panthers vs. Seahawks ($15). Moore is finally starting to get targets in the Panthers' offense, and he turned those targets into a massive 157-yard outing last week against the Lions. The Seahawks defense is a bit tougher on receivers, but Moore is always a threat to make a big play thanks to his top-notch speed. He could end up being a high-level producer, so grabbing him for $15 felt like a steal. We also considered Golden Tate at the same price, but ultimately went with Moore because he has more upside.

DEF Indianapolis Colts vs. Dolphins ($13). The Colts either get to face the turnover-prone Brock Osweiler or Ryan Tannehill with a balky shoulder. Considering the damage they just did to the Titans, they're a great low-cost option and could end up being a top unit despite their bargain-bin $13 value.
