Yahoo Fantasy Football Picks Week 9: NFL DFS lineup advice for cash games image

Last week's Yahoo daily fantasy football cash lineup featured a bunch players who mostly hit their relatively high floors (Russell Wilson, Tyler Lockett, DeAndre Hopkins, Cole Beasley, David Montgomery). Unfortunately, that was about all they did. Thankfully, Jamaal Williams came through with two TDs on Sunday night, making up for Le'Veon Bell's disappointing day. We're going to stick with last week's process for our Week 9 NFL DFS cash lineup picks, as we were clearly down the right path with so many players hitting 100 yards and/or scoring.

That process includes sticking with Bell, who's $3 cheaper than last week despite having the best RB matchup on the board. We're also once again going with Lockett, who's been steady at WR all season and has a top-five matchup for WRs.

WEEK 9 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

We're playing down a bit at QB, but Josh Allen's favorable passing matchup coupled with his high rushing floor makes him a solid cash play. He's the key to our balanced approach, as spending up more at quarterback would force us to take a bigger risk at one of the RB or WR spots.

WEEK 9 PPR RANKINGS: Running backWide receiver | Tight end

Week 9 Yahoo NFL DFS Lineup: Picks, Advice for cash games

QB: Josh Allen, Bills vs. Redskins ($27).  Allen has had at least two TDs in each of the past three games and five-of-seven games overall this year. He's also had at least 21 rushing yards in every contest. This week, he faces a Redskins defense that was among the worst at defending the pass all year until a debilitating rainstorm limited the 49ers two weeks ago and the Vikings simply ran all over them and didn't throw a passing touchdown last week. Make no mistake, this is still a favorable matchup, and Allen's rushing ability gives us the high floor we need in a cash game.

WEEK 9 DFS LINEUPS:
Y! GPP | DK cash | DK GPP | FD cash | FD GPP

RB: Le'Veon Bell, Jets @ Dolphins ($26). Bell saw a season-low 12 touches last week, down from his average of 21.5 coming into the game. He's still a high-volume back with a typically solid floor. His receiving numbers have been down over the past three weeks, but that might not matter against a Dolphins defense that entered Week 8 allowing the most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to RBs.

RB: Derrick Henry, Titans @ Panthers ($19). Henry has had at least 15 carries in every game this season, and while he's had a couple poor showings, he's hit 75 rushing yards or more in six-of-eight contests. Yes, it would be nice if caught more passes, but RB12 pricing against a Panthers defense that has allowed seven RB rushing touchdowns and two 100-yard rushers over the past three games is too good to pass up.

WR: Tyler Lockett, Seahawks vs. Buccaneers ($28). Lockett's season low in Yahoo points this year is 7.1, and that was the only time he finished with fewer than 10. Only the Panthers allow more WR receptions per game than the Bucs (14.3), and only the Lions allow more passing yards per game (285.9). Lockett should dominate.

WEEK 9: Waiver wire | FAAB planner | Trade valuesSnap counts

WR: Allen Robinson, Bears @ Eagles ($28). Robinson hasn't had fewer than seven targets in a game this year, and against an Eagles defense that ranks eighth against the run and 20th against the pass, you can bet Chicago will be throwing his way often. It's never fun counting on one of Mitchell Trubisky's receivers in a cash game, but Robinson has been a steady producer.

WR: Courtland Sutton, Broncos vs. Browns ($21). Sutton seems too cheap given his target share (at least six every game) and steadiness (79.5 yards per game). The Browns haven't been bad against WRs, but Sutton has produced against virtually everyone this year, and his combination of size in the red zone and big-play ability over the middle makes him a good bet to put up points one way or another. Even with Brandon Allen at QB, we'll bet on Sutton.

TE: Greg Olsen, Panthers vs. Titans ($14). Tennessee has allowed either a touchdown or 97 receiving yards to a TE in six-of-eight games. Olsen has three games this year with 13 yards or fewer, so he's not exactly a typical high-floor cash game player, but he's produced in favorable matchups (162 yards in two games vs. Tampa, 75 yards and two TDs vs. Arizona), so we'll take the savings and use him here.

MORE WEEK 9 DFS: Stacks | Values | Lineup builder

FLEX: Josh Jacobs, Raiders vs. Lions ($24). The game-flow concerns that had some worried about Jacobs early in the season appear to be mostly irrelevant now that the Raiders always seem to find themselves in close games. He'll get the ball early and often against a Lions defense allowing the third-most FPPG to RBs.

D/ST: Broncos vs. Browns ($12). Baker Mayfield is tied with Jameis Winston for the league lead in INTs (12), and Denver has found its pass rush with 17 sacks over the past five games. Denver isn't the highest upside D/ST of the week, but it certainly has a solid floor at a great price.
