Yahoo Fantasy Football Picks Week 4: NFL DFS lineup advice for cash games image

There isn't much to say about last week's Yahoo NFL DFS cash lineup -- at least nothing good to say. Our Matthew Stafford-Kenny Golladay stack was a bust, Saquon Barkley exited early, Peyton Barber remembered he was Peyton Barber, and D.K. Metcalf was more like D.K. Meh-calf. Greg Olsen showed up as expected and Adam Thielen got into the end zone, but we needed a lot more than that to cash. Our Week 4 daily fantasy football picks will be looking to bounce back in a big way.

Our lineup this week is built around a Rams stack, a Redskins stack, the top WR, and a pair of chalky picks at TE and FLEX who are tough to avoid in cash lineups. On the surface, this probably doesn't look like a typical cash lineup, but we feel good about the matchups and home/road splits, so we expect to hit the cash line with this squad.

WEEK 4 DFS LINEUPS:
DK cash | DK GPP | FD cash | FD GPPY! cash | Y! GPP

QB: Jared Goff, Rams vs. Buccaneers ($28). Goff hasn't been great this year, but he's managed at least 269 passing yards and two TDs in each of the past two games. He's typically better at home, and this week he gets a favorable  home matchup against a Bucs team that was just torched by rookie Daniel Jones. Goff has too many good receivers not to produce, and at QB13 pricing, he presents solid value, too.

RB: Josh Jacobs, Raiders @ Colts ($25). Jacobs had his first poor day as a pro last week, so now's the perfect time to grab him in anticipation of a bounce back. Jacobs only saw 10 carries and produced 44 yards against the Vikings because of an early deficit, but in Weeks 1 and 2, he had at least 99 total yards and scored twice. The Colts have been one of the worst defenses against RBs all year, and Devonta Freeman had 88 rushing yards against despite trailing all game. Jacobs should produce despite worries about playing time if the Raiders fall behind again.

WEEK 4 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiverTight end

RB: Adrian Peterson, Redskins @ Giants ($15). This one might look weird, but Peterson is a very situational player. In favorable matchups, he's a good bet for 80-plus yards and a touchdown; in bad matchups, he's useless. Well, this is a good matchup, as the Giants are allowing just over 20 fantasy points per game to RBs, so expect Peterson to get a heavy workload and grind out enough yards to pay off in cash games. At his cheap price, he allows us to fill in two other steady RBs and arguably the top WR.

WR: Julio Jones, Falcons vs. Titans ($38). The knock on Jones is that he doesn't get into the end zone enough, but after scoring in each game this year and each of the final four games last year, it's safe to say Jones knows where the goal line is. If anything, we're a little nervous that Jones is due to not score at this point. But the targets are there (30 through three games) and the production obviously is, too. On top of that, Tennessee has struggled against relatively mediocre passing games the past two weeks (Indianapolis, Jacksonville). Facing the Falcons in Atlanta will be a much tougher test.

WEEK 4: Waiver pickups | FAAB planner | Trade valuesSnap counts

WR: Cooper Kupp, Rams vs. Buccaneers ($22). Kupp's mispricing makes him almost a must-own. WR13, at $16 off WR1 pricing? That's silly for the clear top target in the Rams offense (31 targets). Like we said with Goff, Tampa was just lit up by the Giants, so Goff and Kupp should keep the connection going strong back in L.A.

WR: Phillip Dorsett, Patriots @ Bills ($13). Even if Julian Edelman (ribs) plays, we like Dorsett here. In two games without Antonio Brown this year, he's caught 10-of-11 targets for 148 yards and three TDs. The Bills have done a good job with receivers in favorable matchups the first three weeks (Jets, Giants, Bengals), but the Patriots passing game will be a different story. Dorsett is typically more of a GPP option because of his big-play ability, but he can pay off in cash now, too.

TE: Will Dissly, Seahawks @ Cardinals ($18). Everyone knows how bad the Cardinals have been against TEs this year, so this will be an extremely chalky pick. It's also a little riskier than you think, as a fair amount of Dissly's production last week came in garbage time (including a touchdown on the untimed final play of the game). Darren Waller is a higher-floor pick at the same price, but we avoided him because we didn't want two Raiders on our roster. Austin Hooper also works but then we would've been dealing with two Falcons' pass-catchers. In cash games, we wanted to diversify.

FLEX: Austin Ekeler, Chargers @ Dolphins ($31). Another very chalky pick, but Ekeler has been dominant all season and the Dolphins can't stop anyone. You're putting yourself at major risk if you don't have Ekeler this week.

D/ST: Washington Redskins @ Giants ($10). As much as we like Daniel Jones, he's still a rookie who was sacked five times and lost two fumbles last week in Tampa. You know he's going to throw some INTs soon, too. Washington hasn't been overly impressive this year, but they have enough talented players to cause problems for Jones.
