Yahoo Fantasy Football Picks Week 15: NFL DFS lineup advice for cash games image

The running backs (Dalvin Cook, Devonta Freeman, and Kareem Hunt) in last week's Yahoo daily fantasy football cash lineup came through with touchdowns, but the good news basically ended there. Russell Wilson struggled, Courtland Sutton and Deebo Samuel were mostly held out of their respective teams' high-scoring fun, and Vance McDonald exited early because of an injury. The process was there, but the results were not. We'll hope for both with our Week 15 NFL DFS lineup picks.

With three Browns in our lineup -- none of which traditionally correlate -- we're already taking a risk, but we think all three can pay off at their value prices. Value is actually a common theme for our lineup, as Saquon Barkely, Emmanuel Sanders, and Odell Beckham Jr. all seem far too cheap for their talents and matchups. Taking them allows us to pay up for Chris Carson and Ryan Tannehill. (We didn't expect to be writing that even three weeks ago.)

WEEK 15 NON-PPR RANKINGS:

This week's lineup is banking on more bouce-back performances than usual, but they're all talented players in favorable matchups, so we feel roll the dice.

Week 15 Yahoo NFL DFS Lineup: Picks, Advice for cash games

QB: Ryan Tannehill, Titans vs. Texans ($30). Tannehill has produced multiple touchdowns in all of his starts this year, and he's averaged 27.8 rushing yards in his past five games. All of that adds up to a high floor, and against the Texans, who allow the sixth-most fantasy points to QBs, he should also have a high ceiling. Tannehill isn't a good choice in tournaments at his QB9 price, and he's a safe play in cash games, too.

RB: Chris Carson, Seahawks @ Panthers ($34). With no Rashaad Penny (knee), Carson should get 20-plus touches against a Panthers defense easily allowing the most fantasy points to RBs. There's no bigger lock for a good game this week, so getting Carson at RB4 pricing -- $10 cheaper than Christian McCaffrey -- isn't even a bad deal.

WEEK 15 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiverTight end

RB: Saquon Barkley, Giants vs. Dolphins ($26). Here's one of those "Huh?" price tags. Sure, Barkley hasn't been playing well as of late, but he's still among the most explosive and talented RBs in the NFL who gets around 20 touches per game. The Dolphins give up the seventh-most fantasy points to RBs, which includes the most rushing yards to backs, so Barkley should be in every cash lineup on Yahoo at just $26. We'll take the chalk because it would be stupid not to.

WR: Keenan Allen, Chargers vs. Vikings ($24). We originally had Marvin Jones in this spot, but after he was placed on IR, we had to pivot. Allen is the perfect option at the same price. After a midseason lull, he's been trending upward over the past three weeks, catching 19 of 24 targets for 222 yards and two TDs. The Vikings allow the eighth-most fantasy points to WRs, so it's reasonable to expect Allen to continue playing well.

WR: Emmanuel Sanders, 49ers vs. Falcons ($19). This might be a trap, as Sanders was trending downward prior to last week's explosion. But the Falcons remain one of the worst pass defenses (seventh-most WR receiving yards allowed this year), and he looks to be healthier than he was earlier in the season. At just $19, he's a steal.

WR: Odell Beckham Jr., Browns @ Cardinals ($20). Beckham hasn't been a cash-game play for much of the season. He's scored in just two games, and he's had over 71 yards just four times. But $20? Arizona allows the fifth-most fantasy points to WRs, and Beckham has the kind of big-play ability to pay off with just one catch. Perhaps we shouldn't take the chance here, but OBJ is just too talented to keep disappointing...right?

TE: David Njoku, Browns @ Cardinals ($13). Even after allowing just one catch and three yards to Pittsburgh TEs last week, the Cardinals are still allowing the most fantasy points to TEs (by far). Njoku didn't do much in his return from a wrist injury (three targets, one catch, four yards), but he played way more than Ricky Seals-Jones, so that's most important here. Having two different Cleveland pass-catchers (neither of which are its most consistent) is a worry in a cash game, but the matchup suggests both can pay off.

MORE WEEK 15 DFS: Values | Stacks | Lineup Builder

FLEX: David Montgomery, Bears @ Packers ($21). It seems as if Montgomery burns us every time we pick him, but at just $21 in a matchup against a porous Packers run defense, how can we not go to the well again? He's had at least 15 touches in seven straight games, and even though he's disappointed in some of those contests, we love him at his RB11 pricing.

D/ST: Browns @ Cardinals ($13). You're right -- this is way too many Browns for a cash lineup. But Arizona and Kyler Murray have clearly hit a late-season wall, allowing 17 sacks, eight takeaways, and three D/ST touchdowns in the past four games. Cleveland can easily pay off at this price.
