Sunday mornings are filled with football fans getting ready for their team's upcoming game. If you are a fantasy football fanatic, that also means that you are tinkering with your lineups to try and increase your chance of bringing home a win.
Whether you have confidence in your fantasy football knowledge or not, you often want other opinions on which player to start. On Sunday, fantasy football managers using the NFL fantasy app were frustrated to find that their app wasn't working. Minutes before lineups locked, managers weren't able to look at their teams or utilize the app's built-in discussion board.

Why is the NFL Fantasy app not working?
It's not the first time NFL Fantasy owners experienced an outage. Whether it was overloaded or if i was just a bug, the app crashed ahead of Week 1. Similar to Week 3, fantasy managers were left scrambling when they couldn't access their teams to make changes to their lineups.
It could just be a bug that gets quickly patched, or it is just a large influx of users simultaneously. If it is a bigger problem, we will get official updates from the NFL as they address it. If it gets patched smoothly, managers will notice the app is running again after refreshing.
When the app crashed in Week 1, the official NFL Fantasy Football app account posted.
we are aware of the issues with the nfl fantasy app and our team is working to fix it. we apologize for the inconvenience.

In Week 3, the account didn't post anything about any app issues. Instead, four hours ahead of kickoff, they asked X users to send them their last minute lineup questions.

1 p.m. ET games have kicked. The app is still down for users. Before kickoff, managers may have been able to move players around, but the "feed" section was down. Now, the score won't update, and there is just a spinning wheel when trying to see your matchup or team.
As of 2:40 p.m. ET, the app is working albeit slowly. Mid-afternoon inactives are being reported so users should be able to use the app to check their matchups and tweak their lineups.
Reactions to NFL Fantasy app being down
While some may say that managers should have set their lineups long before the minutes before kickoff, you're not wrong. Still, inactives come out early Sunday, so managers may need to make some last-minute changes. Users were none too happy about the outage.
Man the @NFLFantasy app is already crashing and the games haven’t even started yet. Someone needs fired over there!
