Week 9 Fantasy Rankings: Kickers

Week 9 Fantasy Rankings: Kickers image

The loaded byes are really picking up and with six teams off, our Week 9 fantasy kicker rankings take a bit of a hit. There are only 26 kicking options, and only some of them can be trusted. Kicker is the hardest position to predict, but generally speaking, you want a guy with a big leg who is in a good offense. With the Bengals, Colts, and Eagles all off this week, there are a few less options from high-flying offenses, so that will cut down on the top-tier guys. Still, there are enough solid players available -- many on the waiver wire -- that fantasy football owners can find quality sleepers and unearth a diamond in the rough.

Giorgio Tavecchio (Falcons) is a guy that could be picked up if Matt Bryant (hamstring) is out again. He nailed a couple of 50-plus yarders before going on bye last week, which fantasy owners always like to see. Additionally, since the Falcons have a high-powered offense and lack a solid defense, they will be scoring frequently. That will help Tavecchio be one of the top kicking options moving forward.

Week 9 Rankings:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST

Other top streaming options include Ryan Succop (Titans @ Cowboys), Graham Gano (Panthers vs. Buccaneers), and Robbie Gould (49ers vs. Raiders). They all should have opportunities to produce, so grabbing one of them to replace one of the many bye-week kickers would be a fine move.

Note: We'll update our rankings throughout the week if weather or injuries figure to be major factors. For even more fantsay insight check out "How You'll Lose in Week 9".
