Week 7 Fantasy PPR Rankings: Tight end

Week 7 Fantasy PPR Rankings: Tight end image

Moving Travis Kelce out of the top spot in our standard Week 7 tight end rankings felt like a big deal, so imagine the fanfare when we moved him down to No. 3 in our Week 7 fantasy TE PPR rankings. Yes, it was a big moment, but Austin Hooper has 10 more catches, one more target, and two more TDs this season. He also has a more favorable matchup on paper, so it only makes sense. You could probably argue that receptions-machine Darren Waller should be higher, too, but that would be too much excitement for one week.

Of course, none of this really matters in season-long leagues. It's possible someone owns both Hooper and Kelce and has to make that start-or-sit decision, but chances are both Hooper and Kelce will be started in every league this week. The same goes for Waller and the rest of the top eight (formerly top nine, but Will Dissly's Achilles' injury put an end to that).

WEEK 7 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Most weeks, things will start to get tough after that. Gerald Everett (@ Falcons) remains a strong No. 9 thanks to his matchup this week, but things really get tough after him. It doesn't help that Greg Olsen, O.J. Howard, and Vance McDonald are on bye, but the position simply doesn't lend itself to many weekly sleepers, even in PPR. Jason Witten (vs. Eagles), Tyler Higbee (@ Falcons), and Tyler Eifert (vs. Jaguars) move up because of decent catch totals, but we all know those guys could easily turn in three-point weeks.

WEEK 7 PPR RANKINGS: Running backWide receiver

Matchup-wise, Jimmy Graham (vs. Raiders), Darren Fells (@ Colts), Noah Fant (vs. Chiefs), and Dawson Knox (vs. Dolphins) stand out. We know all have low floors, but they're probably your best bets for a cheap TD and/or some yards. Delanie Walker (vs. Chargers) and Jared Cook (@ Bears) are also in decent spots based on the numbers, so perhaps they can continue to play well.

WEEK 7 DFS LINEUPS:
Y! cash | Y! GPP | DK cash | DK GPPFD cash | FD GPP

However, if you're in a situation where you have to start one of the guys just mentioned, you might be best served trying to "buy low" on Kelce. This might be your only chance of the season.
