Week 6 DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for daily fantasy football cash games image

With so many key players on bye in Week 6, it's a bit trickier than usual to put together a cash lineup in NFL DFS contests. There are certainly safe players on the slate, but usual PPR monster Alvin Kamara won't be in action, nor will high-volume pass catchers like Michael Thomas, Tyler Lockett, and Keenan Allen or big-play TD threats like DK Metcalf and Henry Ruggs. While there aren't as many studs available, there are some value sleepers could pay off if spending up a little more than usual, and our Week 6 DraftKings cash lineup will do just that.

Usually, it's best to use a balanced approach in cash lineups, but we're going in a bit of a different direction this week. Six of our eight skill position players cost $5,600 or more, but we had to spend down a bit at WR3 and flex to be able to afford these guys. It could pay off given the matchup advantages that our candidates in those spots have, but given that we are paying the floor for our second flex spot, this cash lineup has as little more risk in it than usual. Still, there are plenty of players with high floors and easy routes to targets and touches in good matchups.

DraftKings Week 6 Picks: NFL DFS cash lineup

QB Lamar Jackson, Ravens @ Eagles ($7,700). Jackson has an excellent matchup against an Eagles defense that is extremely weak in the back-seven. The Eagles have allowed the sixth-most passing TDs to QBs this year (10), and they haven't faced many mobile QBs so far this year. Jackson should run roughshod on them, and because of his scrambling ability, he has the highest ceiling of any quarterback on this slate. He's worth spending up for even as the slate's highest-priced QB.

RB James Robinson, Jaguars vs. Lions ($6,800). The Lions are allowing 147.5 rushing yards per game to RBs this season, good for the most in the NFL. Robinson has been one of the most consistent DK options and has logged double-digit scoring outputs in all five of his games so far. He should have a chance to run on this Lions defense, and the Jaguars will make sure to get him the ball early and often as they usually do (Robinson is averaging 14.6 carries per game).

WEEK 6 DFS TOURNAMENT LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel

RB David Montgomery, Bears @ Panthers ($5,800). Despite their three-game winning streak, the Panthers have continued to have issues containing RBs. They are allowing a league-high 37.4 DK points per game to the position and are the only team to have surrendered nine total RB touchdowns. The Bears will look to ride Montgomery to spark their offense, and he had a season-high seven receptions last week against the Bucs. He's a classic high-floor option that should pan out in cash-game lineups.

WR Jamison Crowder, Jets @ Dolphins ($6,100). Crowder continues to be underpriced while playing for a bad team, posting at least 20.4 DK points in all three games in which he's played. He is averaging 11 targets, 7.3 catches, and 111.7 yards per game and has found the end zone twice. The Dolphins may have a good secondary, but Crowder is about all the Jets have on offense. They'll continue to target him -- especially with Le'Veon Bell gone -- and that will give him a very high floor.

WR A.J. Brown, Titans vs. Texans ($5,600). We're taking advantage of Brown's middling cost given that prices were set before he played his first game since Week 1 on Tuesday against the Bills. In that contest, Brown had seven catches for 82 yards and a TD. He slowed down in the second half, but he still had 21.2 fantasy points on the day. The Texans have allowed six TDs to receivers this year, good for seventh-most in the NFL, so Brown should be in for another good game. He'll continue to dominate target share with Corey Davis and Adam Humphries still on the COVID list (at least for now).

WEEK 6 DFS CASH LINEUPS: FanDuel

WR Preston Williams, Dolphins vs. Jets ($4,700). Williams had his first breakout game of the season against the 49ers last week, as he caught four passes for 106 yards and a TD in that contest. Now, he'll take on a weak Jets defense that may be more focused on covering DeVante Parker and Mike Gesicki than Williams. That will give him a chance to hit some more big plays, which will make him well worth this sub-$5K price.

WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

TE Mark Andrews, Ravens @ Eagles ($6,500). We wanted to stack Jackson with one of his top weapons and went with Andrews here. Andrews has at least 56 yards and a TD in three games this year and just torched a Bengals defense that struggles against TEs for 17.6 DK points. The Eagles have allowed 19.4 DK points per game to TEs, good for fourth most in the NFL, so this could be another 50-plus-yard game with at least one TD for Andrews.

FLEX Irv Smith Jr., Vikings vs. Falcons ($2,500). To pay up for all the top talents we have on this slate, we do have to scrape the bottom of the barrel once. Smith isn't a bad play though, as he did catch four passes for 64 yards last week against the Seahawks (10.4 DK points). This week he's facing the Falcons, who have allowed TEs to score seven times this year, good for most in the NFL. Smith is a risk, but the matchup is good enough that he should take advantage of it.

WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

D/ST Indianapolis Colts vs. Bengals ($4,000).  We saw what happened last week when Joe Burrow faced a good defense that could get a lot of pressure on him. He was sacked seven times, had two turnovers, and only led the team to three points. The Colts have been one of the NFL's best stop units, so they should have similar success against Burrow in Week 6.
