Week 5 DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for cash games image

Andrew Luck led us to a fourth straight smash in cash games on the main slate, so of course we must have confidence entering NFL Week 5. Our DraftKings cash lineup picks feature a lot of potential boom playmakers, so we're feeling good that this should help you to win in NFL DFS this week.

We're not counting on 199 DraftKings points like last week, but dropping another 150 would certainly do. We're looking at you, Falcons-Steelers.

NFL Week 5 DraftKings Cash Lineup

For DraftKings cash games on the Sunday 12-game slate.

QB Matt Ryan, ATL @ PIT ($6,600): We're starting with exposure to that 57-point game total in Pittsburgh. Ryan leads all quarterbacks in DraftKings scoring over the past three weeks, and this contest projects as another shootout, especially given Atlanta's toothless defense in wake of key injuries. The Steelers just got carved up at home by Joe Flacco, so they will have trouble containing Ryan and the Falcons offensive weapons.

RB Christian McCaffrey, CAR vs. NYG ($8,000): Heading into last week's bye, CMC trailed only Alvin Kamara in RB targets and receiving yards, while securing enough ground work to land just three yards out of the NFL rushing lead. Offensive coordinator Norv Turner has followed through with his stated bell-cow plan, so we'll take on a fresh McCaffrey after his bye.

WEEK 5 DFS CASH LINEUPS: Yahoo | FanDuel

RB James Conner, PIT vs. ATL ($7,500): The Falcons have allowed the third-most DK points to RBs. They've also allowed high RB catch totals under Dan Quinn, and scheme vulnerabilities have snowballed from injuries. Giovani Bernard hit them up for 25 DK a week after Kamara topped 40, so gunning for 19 points and the 2.5X here in cash with Conner.

WR Golden Tate, DET @ OAK ($6,700): If you segment past that bizarre Week 1 Monday nighter against the Jets, Tate ranks ninth and 11th among WRs in catches and targets, respectively. Tate sits at sixth in receiving yards since Week 2 and provides one of the highest floors at WR14 price.

WR Corey Davis, TEN @ BUF ($6,400): Davis is another volume play buoyed by encouraging recent production from both himself and offense. Sunday's 34-point explosion illuminates the fact that he averages 10 targets per game, and now he actually has one Gabbert-free game under his belt. Elite CB Tre'Davious White might track, but likely not that close to every snap — Davante Adams pulled in four catches versus White last week and an additional four against other Bills DBs, per Pro Football Focus charting.

WEEK 5 DFS GPP LINEUPS: Yahoo | FanDuel | DraftKings

WR Tyler Lockett, SEA vs. LAR ($4,600): We're banking on receiving volume from projected game script here, which will be a key part of our 4K-tier strategy in cash this week. The Rams lead the NFL in total offense and dropped 42 points their last time in Seattle — now without Earl Thomas — so theoretically, the TD-dog Hawks should pass more this week.

TE David Njoku, CLE vs. BAL ($3,400): Njoku posted a season-high 10.2 DK in Baker Mayfield's first start, which tracked with his production while Mayfield was on the field the week prior. We're seeing increased production from the Browns offense and Njoku has hit seven targets in three of four games.

MORE WEEK 5 DFS: Values | Stacks | Lineup Builder

FLEX Mohamed Sanu, ATL @ PIT ($4,000): This is the same theory as with Lockett, so making a confident bet on game flow since we're dealing with a relatively tight spread and an astronomical Vegas over-under. This should secure us conditions similar to the ones that got Sanu 7-to-9 targets in recent weeks.

DST Bengals vs. Dolphins ($2,700): We're saving $1,300 off the positional ceiling to host a Dolphins squad that just got virtually blanked by the Pats, who had allowed the sixth-most points over the two weeks. We're feeling lukewarm on premium-priced DSTs on slate, so cutting cost here is the way to go.
