Week 4 FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for daily fantasy football GPP tournaments image

One of my most consistent NFL typos is writing "goof" when saying Jared Goff's last name, which makes sense if you think about the general public's perception of Goff. But that hasn't stopped me from including Goff in my Week 4 lineup picks for FanDuel tournaments. The Rams have a great matchup, so pairing Goff with his two top receivers makes plenty of sense in all daily fantasy football contests this week.

Around the Rams, we've stocked up on three strong running backs. While top RB ownership is never super low, that's not a big concern in tournaments. Getting assured volume and production creates a solid floor that our stack and a couple value plays just have to pile on top of.

FanDuel Picks Week 4: NFL DFS lineup for GPPs

QB Jared Goff, Rams vs. Giants ($7,500)

I get it -- kind of. I get why people don't like Goff, but he throws the ball a ton and has multiple talented receivers. So, a matchup with the Giants should see his ownership higher than it likely will be. It's hard to find the downside in this opponent.

RB Alvin Kamara, Saints @ Lions ($8,800)

I believe so wholeheartedly in Kamara following up his big Week 3 with another huge outing that he's in both my cash and tournament lineups. There will be people fading Kamara this week in the hopes of picking a better tournament lineup, but the best backbone of a strong GPP play is a great RB performance, and Kamara should give us that.

WEEK 4 DFS TOURNAMENT LINEUPS: DraftKings | Yahoo

RB Kenyan Drake, Cardinals @ Panthers ($7,000)

Carolina can't stop anyone on the ground, so, while Drake will look a bit too highly priced based off a couple of quieter weeks in a row, the matchup makes it a fair price for Drake. While others slot sleepers into this RB2 spot, we'll ride Drake to what should be a bounce-back game.

WR Cooper Kupp, Rams vs. Giants ($7,200)

Kupp continues to be the biggest tease for me in making my DFS lineups. Every time I watch him I'm blown away by his talent, but then there are all these other guys on the Rams getting in the way to catch passes, too. No matter. He makes sense as a stack with Goff against a bad defense this week.

WEEK 4 DFS CASH LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKingsYahoo

WR Robert Woods, Rams vs. Giants ($6,700)

At least it will be less annoying to watch Kupp catch fewer passes than he should if we play Woods, too. The Rams have been extra creative in getting Woods the ball this season over the middle of the field and on running plays, and nothing about New York's defense will slow Woods down.

WR KhaDarel Hodge, Browns @ Cowboys ($4,500)

Hodge continues to play more than half of Cleveland's snaps in the No. 3 WR role behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. That hasn't brought on consistent production yet, but the Cowboys aren't stopping any offenses so far. If the Browns want to keep up, this game will turn into a shootout, and Hodge has a good chance of finding the end zone for the first time this year.

WEEK 4 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

TE O.J. Howard, Buccaneers vs. Chargers ($4,800)

Howard made a ridiculous catch in Week 3 on a jump ball where he reached with one arm around a face-guarding defensive back to reel the pass in. If anything, that will gain Tom Brady's trust even more. Howard is the most athletic -- and at this stage in his career, the best -- tight end Tampa Bay has, so his price working with Brady here is too cheap.

RB Dalvin Cook, Vikings @ Texans ($8,700)

Assuming the Vikings play, Cook remains one of the best bets to score a touchdown on this slate. In Week 3 he broke out the breakaway speed we hadn't yet seen in the early going, so combining Cook in this lineup with Kamara and Drake is a great RB floor/ceiling combo.

WEEK 4 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

DEF Buffalo Bills @ Raiders ($4,400)

The Bills' defense has been a bit of a letdown this season, but its strength so far has been stopping the run, which means neutralizing Las Vegas' top weapon, Josh Jacobs. At that point, slowing down Derek Carr shouldn't be too difficult.
