Seriously, what were the odds before the season that Breshad Perriman would be in the top 10 in our Week 16 fantasy WR rankings? A million-to-one seems a little high, but...close, right? Well, thanks to hamstring injuries for Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Perriman becomes the de facto No. 1 receiver for one of football's pass-happiest teams -- in a favorable matchup -- so here he is, safely on the "start 'em" side of the start-or-sit bubble.
He's not the only surprise in our starter's tier. Chris Conley and Keelan Cole (@ Falcons) both impressed in the absence of DJ Chark (foot) and have another favorable matchup. Anthony Miller (vs. Chiefs) just keeps on getting targets and producing, Darius Slayton (@ Redskins) is a touchdown machine, and Terry McLaurin (vs. Giants) is suddenly good again. At least one of James Washington or Diontae Johnson (@ Jets) is a good bet to go off this week, too. Throw in high-upside secondary receivers like Mike Williams (vs. Raiders), DK Metcalf (vs. Cardinals), and Will Fuller (@ Buccaneers) in favorable matchups, and you have a lot of choices for your WR3 spots.
WEEK 16 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
Of course, there are always unfavorable matchups to go along with all the favorable. John Brown (@ Patriots) gets the Stephon Gilmore treatment, while Julian Edelman (vs. Bills), while likely avoiding Tre'Davious White, also gets a tough matchup against the Bills. Chances are, you'll still start both, but Brown is riskier. The Rams trio (@ 49ers) comes with risks, but Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods are tough to sit after watching how Julio Jones carved up the depleted 49ers defense last week.
The Jets' up-and-down duo of Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder (vs. Steelers) won't have an easy time and are likely both too risky to play, while the same is true for Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. (vs. Ravens), but they're both too talented to sit. Tyrell Williams (@ Chargers), Danny Amendola (@ Broncos), and Greg Ward (vs. Cowboys) are three of last week's heroes who aren't likely to replicate their Week 15 showings.
WEEK 16 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end
Perhaps the toughest call of the week is with Adam Thielen, who caught all three of his targets for 27 yards last week and gets a statistically difficult matchup against the Packers on Monday night. Green Bay just allowed a pair of 100-yard receivers to the Bears, but Thielen seems to be operating at less-than-100 percent.

Ultimately, there are no shortage of options for your WR2 and WR3 spots, and you can drive yourself crazy trying to find the perfect players. Before the games kick off, anything seems possible, but if you figure out what your team needs more -- a high ceiling or a high floor -- and pay attention to the weather, you'll at least give yourself a chance.
