Week 14 NFL DFS Picks: Best value players, sleepers for FanDuel, DraftKings daily fantasy football lineups image

It’s safe to say that Week 13 was a funky NFL DFS slate. After all, DeVante Parker was the highest-scoring player on DraftKings and Dolphins teammate Ryan Fitzpatrick was the highest-scoring quarterback. No one saw that coming. Just six players scored more than 30 DraftKings points and one big name was missing from the list: Christian McCaffrey. Somehow, not only was McCaffrey held to just 17.2 DK points by the lowly Washington defense, but 14 running backs outscored him, including opponent Derrius Guice, who dropped 30.7 DK points in his breakout game. Looking ahead to Week 14, there are a number of captivating value plays to consider on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

But before we break down top Week 14 value plays, please note that the picks and analysis below are provided by the industry-leading DFS experts at RotoQL Find out why 100,000 DFS players trust RotoQL to build lineups. Optimize, find value plays, and increase your chances of cashing today

NFL DFS Picks Week 14: QB sleepers, values

Ryan Tannehill: Titans at Raiders (DraftKings $5,800 | FanDuel $7,300)

Tannehill was ultra-efficient last week, going 17-for-22 for 182 yards and two touchdowns, while Derrick Henry went crazy on the ground. That game plan will likely continue this week against the Raiders, but it’s worth noting that Sam Darnold put up 315 yards and two touchdowns against Oakland two weeks ago, and the Chiefs easily hung 40 points on them last week.

Andy Dalton: Bengals at Browns (DraftKings $5,200 | FanDuel $7,000)

Dalton went 22-for-37 for 243 yards and a touchdown in his return to the starting role in Cincinnati and, most importantly, led his team to their first victory of the season. The Browns need a miracle to make the playoffs, could suffer from a deflated locker room and home crowd, and Dalton should continue to see somewhere around 35-to-40 pass attempts at a discounted rate across the industry. Knowing that these may be his last starts at the NFL level, expect Dalton to show more urgency than some of his teammates.

Gardner Minshew II: Jaguars vs. Chargers (DraftKings $5,400 | FanDuel $6,600)

Minshew was named Jacksonville’s starter for the remainder of the season and based on what we saw from him earlier in the season, you can expect a gunslinging attitude and some rushing ability. He recorded 42-plus rushing yards in three of his appearances and will likely use this opportunity as an audition to earn the full-time starting gig heading into next season.

WEEK 14 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Week 14 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: RB sleepers, values

James White: Patriots vs. Chiefs (DraftKings $5,500 | FanDuel $6,000)

Although it’s always difficult to trust the Patriots for DFS purposes (and especially their stable of running backs), White’s usage against the Texans was hard to ignore. He took 14 carries for 79 rushing yards (season-high in both categories) and also hauled in 8-of-11 targets for 98 yards and two touchdowns. While the game script dictated more of his usage, it’s easy to assume that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be able to produce some points against New England this week, which would allow White to see a lot of time in the backfield.

Derrius Guice: Redskins at Packers (DraftKings $4,900 | FanDuel $6,300)

Guice showed off his explosiveness against the Panthers last week, taking 10 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns. He also hauled in two catches for eight yards. Although Adrian Peterson was still worked into the backfield rotation and split carries with him, Guice could be given the opportunity to see what he can do with additional touches against the Packers this week. As massive underdogs, game script could be a concern, but Washington is committed to the run, and he should hopefully see a minimum of 12-15 touches this week.

Raheem Mostert: 49ers at Saints (DraftKings $4,600 | FanDuel $6,200)

Although Matt Breida’s potential return creates a three-man running back group again for the 49ers, Mostert’s 19-carry, 146-yard performance with a touchdown and a couple of catches last week could be enough to earn him double-digit touches yet again (especially since Tevin Coleman only had five last week). Mostert averages 5.9 yards per carry and has incredible explosiveness out of the backfield, which could come in handy against a team like the Saints.

FanDuel, DraftKings Picks Week 14: WR sleepers, values

Deebo Samuel: 49ers at Saints (DraftKings $5,600 | FanDuel $6,000)

Samuel has been a DFS factor over the last four weeks and although he was a possession receiver in the first two of those weeks (catching eight balls in each for a total of 246 yards), he has found the endzone in back-to-back recent games. While 2-50-1 and 4-41-1 lines don’t exactly get anyone excited, Samuel has proven to be one of Jimmy G’s top targets, and if the Niners find themselves playing from behind, he should be heavily utilized once again.

Christian Kirk: Cardinals vs. Steelers (DraftKings $5,200 | FanDuel $5,900)

Although Kirk caught just three passes for 23 yards last week, he’s still Kyler Murray’s favorite target. He’s seen double-digit targets three times this season and has attracted 10, nine and seven over his last three weeks, respectively. He’s simply too cheap and will look to get back on track against the Steelers at presumably low ownership due to last week’s dud, making him a viable tournament option.

Robby Anderson: Jets vs. Dolphins (DraftKings $5,100 | FanDuel $6,400)

The first time the Jets played the Dolphins this season, Anderson had two catches for 33 yards. However, he’s been on a roll the last two weeks, posting 5-86-1 and 7-101-0 lines. Most importantly, Sam Darnold threw the ball his way 10 times last week against Cincinnati. Due to his big-play ability, Anderson is a stellar boom-or-bust tournament option this week against a beatable Miami secondary.

WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiverTight end

Week 14 NFL DFS Picks: TE sleepers, values

O.J. Howard: Buccaneers vs. Colts (DraftKings $3,200 | FanDuel $5,400)

Although Howard has been a DFS nightmare this season, he’s coming off of a 61-yard performance, and fellow tight end Cameron Brate was essentially a non-factor. Tampa Bay will likely want to see what Howard can do in the final stretch of the season, and he’s one of the few tight ends with legitimate upside.

Jacob Hollister: Seahawks at Rams (DraftKings $3,900 | FanDuel $5,500)

Hollister has been one of Russell Wilson’s top targets over the past four weeks, attracting an average of seven targets per game while hauling in three touchdowns in that span. Known as more of a pass-catcher than a blocking tight end, Hollister will most likely be featured in Seattle’s game plan against the Rams this week.

Week 14 NFL DFS values: D/ST sleepers

Tampa Bay D/ST: Buccaneers vs. Colts (DraftKings $2,300 | FanDuel $3,800)

Out of nowhere, the Buccaneers defense posted five sacks, forced two fumbles and two interceptions and scored a defensive touchdown to become the highest-scoring unit on last week’s DraftKings slate. While it’s a stretch to assume that they can repeat that, they’re one of the more affordable options to consider on this slate.

Kansas City D/ST: Chiefs at Patriots (DraftKings $2,200 | FanDuel $3,200)

Very few people will consider rostering a defense against the Patriots in Foxborough, but the Chiefs are dirt-cheap across the industry, and New England’s offense has uncharacteristically struggled lately. Receivers simply couldn’t get open against the Texans, and Tom Brady has not looked remotely like himself. Although a defensive touchdown might be a stretch, any NFL defense has double-digit scoring potential due to variability.
