Week 14 Fantasy TE Rankings: Jack Doyle rises high in favorable matchup image

On rare occasions, the football world throws fantasy analysts a bone that's too good to pass up and it actually delivers. That was Jack Doyle in Week 13, with no Eric Ebron (ankle) in the way. With a great matchup in Week 14, Doyle slots a lot higher into our Week 14 fantasy TE rankings than even we were expecting. Hopefully you hopped on Doyle as a free agent pickup last week because he'll be a popular waiver add this week if he's still available in your league ahead of the fantasy playoffs.

Tyler Higbee, too, delivered in a cushy matchup against Arizona in Week 13, just as has happened with TEs all season. There might be reasons to stay away from Higbee going forward (even if Gerald Everett remains out), but you'll use his example to slot Vance McDonald right into your lineups for that Cardinals matchup this week.

WEEK 14 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | D/ST | Kicker

As we've been saying for a couple weeks now, if you're in need of a tight end, you can truthfully trust Ryan Griffin and Dallas Goedert. Each continue to show some level of production, and both have overall positive game matchups in Week 14 (Griffin against the Dolphins, Goedert against the Giants), despite those opponents not being too terrible against TEs in particular.

WEEK 14 DFS LINEUPS:
DK Cash | DK GPP | FD Cash | FD GPP | Y! Cash | Y! GPP

There's also a preseason sleeper potentially ready to make his mark just in time for the fantasy playoffs. If Greg Olsen misses time with a concussion, Olsen owners can pick up Ian Thomas and feel good about it.

WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiverTight end

Maybe the biggest narrative of this week for owners who snuck into the fantasy playoffs without their top tight ends will be the potential returns of Austin Hooper (knee) and Evan Engram (foot). For now, we've ranked Hooper and not Engram -- both are automatic starts if healthy, while only New York's Kaden Smith would be worth rostering in a pinch if Engram was to be out again.

Week 14 Fantasy TE Rankings

These rankings are for standard, non-PPR leagues.

Rank Player
1 George Kittle, SF @ NO
2 Zach Ertz, PHI vs. NYG
3 Jack Doyle, IND @ TB. Doyle caught six-of-11 targets in his first game after Eric Ebron (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve, and now he gets to face off with the team allowing the second-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. You basically have to lock Doyle in your lineup.
4 Hunter Henry, LAC @ JAX
5 Austin Hooper, ATL vs. CAR. Hooper (knee) seemed close enough to playing on Thanksgiving that the 10 days that followed would presumably get him back for this contest.
6 Travis Kelce, KC @ NE. Kelce's not a guy you can sit in any matchup, especially in the fantasy playoffs -- especially when you drafted him as high as you did.
7 Darren Waller, OAK vs. TEN
8 Vance McDonald, PIT @ ARZ. Tyler Higbee set his career-high for receiving yards in the first half against the Cardinals in Week 13. They've been torched by TEs all year. You have to figure McDonald will keep that trend going.
9 Jonnu Smith, TEN @ OAK. With no Delanie Walker to take targets against the fourth-worst defense against TEs, Smith becomes a legit starting option -- and he's available in most leagues, as well.
10 Tyler Higbee, LAR vs. SEA. Higbee's seven catches for 107 yards in Week 13 all came in the first half. If Gerald Everett (knee) remains out, Higbee has a solid floor in another highly favorable matchup.
11 Mark Andrews, BAL @ BUF. This is one of the few toughest matchups a tight end can have, but Andrews consistently catches Lamar Jackson's eye down near the red zone, and so you can't really consider sitting him.
12 Ryan Griffin, NYJ vs. MIA. The Jets seemingly have to right the ship against Miami in a Week 14 game that should provide a couple opportunities for Griffin to wind up in the end zone.
13 Jacob Hollister, SEA @ LAR. Another high-target game for Hollister in Week 13 shows how he has a fairly high floor, even in a tough matchup like this.
14 Ian Thomas, CAR @ ATL. Assuming Greg Olsen is out, Thomas is an ideal replacement as a stream this week.
15 Dallas Goedert, PHI vs. NYG. Goedert's seen at least six targets in three straight weeks and has become a high floor TE option, at least among those outside the usual top names.
16 Jared Cook, NO vs. SF. This matchup is scary for Cook, and he might be a prime candidate to stream away from in Week 14.
17 Kyle Rudolph, MIN vs. DET
18 Mike Gesicki, MIA @ NYJ. Ryan Fitzpatrick has trusted Gesicki to go up and get balls iin the red zone n recent weeks, and he should be the second-most targeted Dolphin in a favorable Week 14 matchup.
19 David Njoku, CLE vs. CIN. Njoku (wrist) still hasn't been activated from Injured Reserve, but it still seems like he will be. It's just a matter of when.
20 Jimmy Graham, GB vs. WAS. If nothing else, this favorable matchup for the Packers as a whole means Graham has a decent shot to find the end zone.
21 Noah Fant, DEN @ HOU
22 Jason Witten, DAL @ CHI
23 Benjamin Watson, NE vs. KC
24 O.J. Howard, TB vs. IND. Of course Howard caught five-of-six passes for 61 yards after we had written him off again. You can't really trust him, but you could also stash him if you have an extra bench spot in hopes of it starting a strong stretch run.
25 Dawson Knox, BUF vs. BAL
26 Tyler Eifert, CIN @ CLE
27 Kaden Smith, NYG @ PHI. If Evan Engram (foot) remains out (along with Rhett Ellison), Smith could replicate most of his six catches for 70 yards against an Eagles defense that's still vulnerable through the air.
28 Darren Fells, HOU vs. DEN
29 Cameron Brate, TB vs. IND
30 Jaeden Graham, ATL vs. CAR
31 Irv Smith Jr., MIN vs. DET
32 Jeremy Sprinkle, WAS @ GB
