Our Week 14 fantasy kicker rankings leave no room for error with the fantasy playoffs starting in most leagues. There are two trains of thought here: Either you stick with your kicker of recent weeks (good or bad), figuring that you're not tinkering with something that's already random. Or you can give a shot to a hot kicker or one in a good matchup, in hopes that it pays off. Of course, the most annoying thing would be having your choice backfire and be the reason you're knocked out out of the fantasy football playoffs before your championship.
My general stance would be to stand pat. In my one league that still plays with kickers, I own Brett Maher. He missed two field goals on Thanksgiving, but it doesn't feel worth it to swap him out going forward. For any of our top-15 or so kickers, there's really no reason to make a move (unless one of the top three is inexplicably available in your league or there are weather concerns).
WEEK 14 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST
It's also the time of year we need to start looking out for weather. Justin Tucker in Buffalo could always be dicey, but you have to stick with Tucker barring a blizzard. Other obvious potential weather worries includes Kansas City-New England, Dallas-Chicago, and Washington-Green Bay. Cincinnati-Cleveland, Dolphins-Jets, and Giants-Eagles could get ugly, too.
MORE WEEK 14:
Waiver pickups | FAAB planning | Stock watch | Snap counts | Fantasy playoff SOS
We'll update our rankings as the week goes on to account for new weather forecasts and potential job shifts here and there.
(Update: We've removed Adam Vinatieri and replaced him with Chase McLaughlin, as the veteran looks unlikely to play Sunday.)
