Week 14 Fantasy QB Rankings: Josh Allen, Drew Brees among risky quarterbacks in fantasy playoffs image

If you go back to the preseason, there's one constant in our quarterback coverage -- talking about how deep the position is. And sure enough, here we are in the first round of the fantasy playoffs, and our Week 14 fantasy QB rankings are so deep that Dak Prescott, Jameis Winston, and Drew Brees (among several other notable names) are not in the top 12. Instead, we have potential sleepers and waiver wire pickups like Sam Darnold, Jacoby Brissett, Ryan Tannehill, and Jimmy Garoppolo.

It's definitely a weird week for QBs. Not only do you have the guys mentioned above falling in the rankings, but you also have bona fide studs Lamar Jackson (@ Bills), Patrick Mahomes (@ Patriots), and Deshaun Watson (vs. Broncos) in difficult spots. All three players have more or less proven to be matchup-proof (despite a stinker or two from each), so we're not too worried about them, but clearly a lot of fantasy owners will enter this must-win week with questions.

WEEK 14 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Part of the problem is that many of the top matchups go to even more unreliable QBs than the sleepers mentioned above. Devlin Hodges (@ Cardinals) gets the best matchup for any QB, while Kyle Allen (@ Falcons) also gets a top-five matchup. Drew Lock (@ Texans) and Andy Dalton (@ Browns) also face highly favorable opponents. You'll notice all four are on the road, and with the exception of Dalton, there's no track record we can lean on and feel good about. Playing any in a do-or-die matchup is too much of a risk when there are so many other viable options. Save Hodges, Allen, Lock, and Dalton for DFS tournaments.

WEEK 14 DFS LINEUPS:
DK Cash | DK GPP | FD Cash | FD GPP | Y! Cash | Y! GPP

That said, you probably don't want to play Brees (vs. 49ers) either. Prescott (@ Bears) and Josh Allen (vs. Ravens) are more palatable, as they have better matchups and can get points on the ground. Winston (vs. Colts) is Winston and could just as easily go off as struggle, and his matchup is merely middle-of-the-road, so you can take your chances with him.

WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiverTight end

A lot can happen between now and Sunday, be it in the form of receiver injuries, defensive injuries, or weather worries. All affect QBs, and in a week where the rankings are already tight, those factors could make the difference in your start 'em, sit 'em decisions.
