Tonight features a 13-game main DFS slate, though there are no real stud pitching matchups that make for obvious attack spots on either FanDuel or DraftKings. I will likely be targeting the middle pitching tier for the most part, which should allow me to be more aggressive with hitter picks.

Today's MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings, FanDuel advice for Tuesday, April 23
Domingo German, Yankees @ Angels. German is the most expensive pitcher on the FanDuel slate and not cheap on DraftKings, but that doesn’t mean I am fading him. He has been great this season and gets a poor Angels offense that is atrocious once you get around Mike Trout. I prefer him in cash on FD, but he is usable in GPPs on DK, too.
Austin Barnes, C, Dodgers @ Cubs. Barnes has traditionally hit lefties better than righties, so while the result have been shaky thus far, a matchup with Jose Quintana could be what helps him shake the rust off. He is cheap but also risky, so save him for your GPPs.

Edwin Encarnacion, 1B, Mariners vs. Padres. E5 has been great this season, with a .824 OPS and six home runs. He should have plenty of opportunity for anotherd dinger versus Nick Margevicius, who gets creamed when he leaves the ball in the zone.
Garrett Hampson, 2B, Rockies vs. Nationals. Hampson has been batting in the top of the lineup against lefthanded pitching. Tonight he gets Patrick Corbin, who has been a stud, but it's in Colorado and he is dirt cheap.
Fernando Tatis Jr., SS, Padres @ Mariners. Tatis has crushed the ball this season, but more surprisingly he has hit for average, as well. He faces off today against rookie Erik Swanson. For a mid-tier option, he is pretty decent.
Travis Shaw, 3B, Brewers @ Cardinals. Shaw is the top 3B value play for us on both DraftKings and FanDuel today largely because he is so cheap. He has struggled this season, but it is a matter of time before he breaks out of the slump. Tonight he faces Daniel Ponce De Leon, so this is a good day to gamble on the huge discount.
Tommy Pham, OF, Rays vs. Royals. Pham continues to hit the ball hard and is one of our highest projected outfield plays of the day. A matchup versus Homer Bailey makes that an easy decision. It is a matter of time before the bombs start coming for Pham, but in the meantime, he is getting a bunch of steals to soften the blow.
