Today's NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings, FanDuel advice for Wednesday, Oct. 16

Center: Nazem Kadri, Avalanche @ Penguins. Kadri scored in his second-straight game as part of Colorado's four-goal first period on Monday and added two assists to record his first three-point performance as a member of the Avalanche.

Wing: James Neal, Oilers vs. Flyers. The James Neal comeback season in Edmonton is still rolling as the winger has eight goals in six games. Playing alongside the best player in the world (Connor McDavid), it's not exactly a shock that he's been able to rediscover his scoring touch with the Oilers.

Wing: Sam Lafferty, Penguins vs. Avalanche. The fourth line of Lafferty, Joseph Blandisi and Adam Johnson apears to have meshed well with five goals over the last two games.

Defenseman: Cale Makar, Avalanche @ Pengins. Makar will be looking to tie an NHL record for the longest regular-season point streak to start a career with a point tonight. I've got this matchup being a shootout tonight, so I expect Kakar to find the scoresheet and keep the streak going.

Defenseman: Dougie Hamilton, Hurricanes @ Sharks. Hamilton is on fire with four goals in his last five games, and he's put 13 shots on goal in his last three games.

Goalie: Mikko Koskinen, Oilers vs. Flyers. The netminder has won each of his two starts this season with a solid .914 save percentage. He will face a struggling Flyers attack that has only netted threegoals in their last two games.
