Today's Daily Fantasy Baseball Rankings: Best starting pitchers, streamers for Wednesday, June 19 image

Wednesday's MLB DFS slate features five games in the afternoon and 10 in the evening (plus a Royals-Mariners game only available in all-day FanDuel contests), and the pitching options are solid for both sets of contests. It's one of those days where there are a handful of legit aces mixed with a bunch of decent-but-not-great SPs in favorable matchups, creating ample sleepers.

Among the top matchup-based values, Chris Bassitt (vs. Orioles) and Zach Davies (@ Padres) are solid afternoon plays (with Bassitt standing out as especially reasonably priced on FanDuel), while Trevor Williams (vs. Tigers)Andrew Heaney (@ Blue Jays), and Daniel Ponce De Leon (vs. Marlins) are good SP2s on DK and GPP plays on FanDuel if you want to save money for hitters.

Kyle Gibson (vs. Red Sox) is in an interesting spot, as Boston's bats could be a little tired after last night's marathon game. He's still best suited for GPPs, but he's certainly not an auto-fade.

wRC+ is defined by Fangraphs as "[measuring] how a player’s wRC compares with league average after controlling for park effects. League average for position players is 100, and every point above 100 is a percentage point above league average. For example, a 125 wRC+ means a player created 25% more runs than a league average hitter would have in the same number of plate appearances. Similarly, every point below 100 is a percentage point below league average, so a 80 wRC+ means a player created 20% fewer runs than league average." For more on the stat, click here.
