Thursday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 16 49ers-Titans Showdown tournaments image

The Titans host the 49ers in the season’s final installment of Thursday Night Football. Both teams are squarely in the playoff mix, so we’re likely in store for a competitive and entertaining affair that features plenty of viable DFS options. We're paying up for a high-priced captain in our Week 16 DraftKings showdown lineup, and we picked up just enough sneaky value in our flex spots to make some noise. Implementing the zero-QB strategy isn't always a great option, but this feels like the time and place to do it.

Here are the important settings for DraftKings single-game contests: It's full-point PPR, and there are three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain pick costs 1.5 times a player's original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

DraftKings Showdown Picks: 49ers vs. Titans

$50,000 budget, need at least one player from each team.

Captain (1.5x salary, 1.5x points): TE George Kittle, 49ers ($16,800)

Kittle was held a bit more under control against the Falcons last week following a pair of dominant performances. Still, he’s averaged 11 targets per game over his past three and exploded for 95 DraftKings points over that span.

FLEX: WR Deebo Samuel, 49ers ($11,600)

The 49ers have treated Samuel a bit like Cordarrelle Patterson in recent weeks. He’s only seen 12 targets in his last four games but has 28 carries over that span. He’s been scoring touchdowns on the ground too, so he’s still making the most of his opportunities.

FLEX: RB D’Onta Foreman, Titans ($7,600)

Foreman has been a solid producer since emerging as the lead back in Tennessee. He’s scored at least 14.2 DK points in three straight games, including a season-high 18.5 points last week. He’s not a major factor in the passing game, but he’s had a pair of receptions in each of the past two games. He’s also earned the three-point bonus for eclipsing 100 yards in two of the past three, so there are a few different avenues through which Foreman can rack up points.

WEEK 16 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

FLEX: WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Titans ($5,400)

The Titans may be able to welcome wide receiver A.J. Brown (chest) back into the fold this week, but he’s unlikely to be up to full speed. Westbrook-Ikhine hasn’t been spectacular, but he’s seen 24 targets over his past four games, a span in which he’s also scored a touchdown and eclipsed 100 yards on separate occasions. He's still a big-play, boom-or-bust DFS dart throw with Julio Jones and potentially Brown in Tennessee's lineup.

WEEK 16 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

FLEX: RB Jeff Wilson Jr., 49ers ($5,200)

Wilson scored 22.9 DK points last Sunday in place of Elijah Mitchell (knee), who has remained sidelined in practice this week. If Wilson lands another start, he’ll be in position to produce another decent DK performance.

FLEX: RB Dontrell Hilliard, Titans ($2,800)

Hilliard has been a solid complement to Foreman out of the Titans’ backfield. He’s found success on the ground (12-131-1 in Week 12) and through the air (10 targets in Week 11). There should be enough touches to go around for Hilliard to produce another solid effort.
