Sounds like Russell Wilson can blame his poor Week 1 performance on an ankle injury that slowed him in the second half. Now the question is, will Wilson be able to play on that bum ankle in Week 2?

Fantasy owners may also be looking for injury updates on Robert Griffin III and Tony Romo, but unfortunately we don't have a lot of good news if you're digging for a QB to replace Wilson. Let's take a look at the latest injury updates for these fantasy quarterbacks to help get your lineups in order for Week 2.

Russell Wilson injury update

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson had "precautionary" X-rays on his injured ankle, which he tweaked in the second second half Sunday. The good news is that Wilson didn't miss any time Sunday and Pete Carroll says the ankle injury is "nothing very serious." Will see how Wilson's ankle responds this week in practice, but fantasy owners may want to find a late-game QB on the waiver wire for Week 2 just in case. It just so happens we mention one among this week's top pickups.

Robert Griffin III on injured reserve

Soon after Adam Schefter reported Robert Griffin III's left shoulder injury was "potentially serious." the Browns placed the oft-injured QB on injured reserve with a broken bone in his non-throwing shoulder. It's unlikely that the loss of RG3 for the rest of the season hurts many fantasy owners at the QB position, other than crossing a sleeper off the list, but it does dim the season-long prospects for rookie Corey Coleman and the suspended Josh Gordon. Josh McCown is next up on the Browns QB depth chart, followed by Cody Kessler.

When will Tony Romo return?

Despite an initially grim outlook for Cowboys QB Tony Romo's back injury and Dak Prescott's solid play in Week 1, team owner Jerry Jones said Romo expects to return "sooner rather than later." It's likely just a confident owner being overly optimistic, but this confirms that there's a real chance Romo returns before the second half of the season. That is, as long as Prescott hasn't stolen his starting job for good.
