Preseason NFL DFS Picks for Friday: Best Week 2 lineup advice for Bengals-Falcons, Giants-Panthers image

Friday night's Week 2 preseason slate features a doubleheader between the Bengals-Falcons and Giants-Panthers. Outside of the Bengals' first-team offense, each team is expected to roll out their starting offense, meaning we'll see Bijan Robinson make his Falcons debut along with other highly touted rookies (Bryce Young, Jalin Hyatt) and first-stringers (Darren Waller, Drake London). We've assembled our favorite eight-player SuperDraft lineup for tonight's two-game slate, stacking three Panthers' along with rostering a Falcons RB not named Robinson.

For those unfamiliar, SuperDraft's DFS strategy involves points multipliers, unlike traditional salary-capped or tiered contests. A winning lineup likely features a strong mix of stud fantasy contributors with 1x-1.6x boosts, as well as matchup-based sleepers with larger multipliers. Each player is assigned a scoring multiplier based on their value as determined by SuperDraft. Users can roster any player in their lineup with no restrictions.

Before we break down all of our picks, here are the most notable scoring rules for SuperDraft NFL contests: Half-point PPRfour-point passing TDs, two-point bonuses for 100 rushing yards100 receiving yardsand 300 passing yards.

NFL Preseason DFS Picks Friday: Best Week 2 lineup advice for Bengals-Falcons, Giants-Panthers

Draft all of your favorite players based on their multiplier value with no restrictions.

QB Matt Corral, Panthers (Multiplier: 1.6x)

The Panthers played just two QBs last Saturday against the Jets, with Young logging the first 11 offensive snaps (23 percent) and Matt Corral playing a team-high 37 snaps (77). Corral wasn't effective beyond a struggling offensive line, taking four sacks on 27 drop backs and posting a 63.8 passer rating, but it's hard not to roster him as a QB, given his reliable usage. Corral likely logs the most snaps out of any QB in tonight's games, making him our preferred SuperDraft play.

MORE SUPERDRAFT DFS: How to play SuperDraft

RB Chase Brown, Bengals (Multiplier: 1.45x)

Brown and fellow RB Chris Evans were the only two RBs to play for Cincinnati last week, with Brown (42) significantly out snapping Evans (23). Evans was substantially more efficient as a runner (seven carries, 49 yards) compared to Brown (eight carries, 12 yards), but Brown's receiving capabilities (three receptions, 33 yards), give him the upper hand in half-point PPR fantasy contests.

RB Eric Gray, Giants (Multiplier: 1.5x)

Gray was one of our SuperDraft plays last week, and although he wasn't much of a factor on the ground (five carries, nine yards), he led all Giants' RBs in snap share (39 percent). Like Brown, Gray's receiving upside (two receptions, 10 yards) makes him an enticing addition to SuperDraft lineups. Saquon Barkley's likely to play a drive or two tonight, but Gray's still in line to get the bulk of the backfield work in the second half.

2023 PPR RANKINGS:

WR Shi Smith, Panthers (Multiplier: 1.6x)

Carolina played 11 WRs last week, and although that adds some variance in rostering a Panthers' pass-catcher, Smith makes for a rather-reliable stack with Corral, given he logged the second-most snaps among Panthers WRs (27). Smith hauled in his lone target for a 20-yard reception, and although the Panthers' offense failed to produce a single scoring drive, his big-play potential adds to his DFS intrigue.

2023 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Ks | Top 200 | S-Flex | IDP

WR Charlie Jones, Bengals (Multiplier: 1.6x)

Jones got plenty of work with the Bengals pit in a negative game script for most of the second half in their preseason opener. Jones played 38 snaps (second most among Bengals WRs) and saw six targets, but he secured just two catches for 11 yards. Another six-plus target night is sure to result in a significantly better receiving yards output from the fourth-round pick.

2023 FANTASY SLEEPERS
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Each Team

WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton, Giants (Multiplier: 1.6x)

While 34-year-old Cole Beasley led all Giants' receivers in targets last week (4), Ford-Wheaton played the most snaps (42 snaps, 71 percent). He was held without a catch on three targets, but with Beasley (leg) likely sitting out tonight, Ford-Wheaton has an opportunity to post a respectable stat line catching passes from Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito.

2023 AUCTION VALUES (Standard & PPR):
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Ks | Overall

TE Tommy Tremble, Panthers (Multiplier: 1.6x)

We're taking a gamble and stacking Tremble alongside Corral and Smith, hoping the Notre Dame product finds paydirt to help our lineup end in the money. 14 of the 19 snaps Tremble logged last Saturday came on passing plays, so we're banking on Tremble showing up in the red zone and catching a TD pass from Corral. Like in the regular season, there's a ton of variance at the TE position, so it's best to chase TD upside.

2023 POSITION TIERS & DRAFT STRATEGY:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/ST

FLEX Carlos Washington, Falcons (Multiplier: 1.6x)

Even with Robinson making his Falcons debut, Washington likely ends the night with the highest snap share among Falcons RBs for a second straight week. Washington played 61 percent of snaps last week (33) and recorded 12 carries for 27 yards. He wasn't nearly as efficient as fellow RB Godwin Igwebuike (13 carries, 70 yards, one TD), but we're trying our best to avoid overreacting to a one-game sample.
