Playoff DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Eagles-Buccaneers Wild Card Showdown tournaments image

The Eagles and Buccaneers start off Sunday's playoff action in the wild card round. We're counting postseason studs Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski among our DraftKings Showdown lineup picks. Of course, the field will be high on Brady and Gronk, so we also included some DFS dart throws and sleepers who should have relatively low ownership.

Here are the important settings for DraftKings single-game contests: It's full-point PPR, and there are three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain pick costs 1.5 times a player's original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

DraftKings Showdown Picks: Eagles vs. Buccaneers

$50,000 budget, need at least one player from each team.

Captain: (1.5x salary, 1.5x points): TE Rob Gronkowski, Buccaneers ($13,800)

The Eagles allowed the most DK points to tight ends during the regular season, and with Chris Godwin (ACL) and Antonio Brown out of the picture, Gronk could easily be Tom Brady's No. 1 target during the postseason. We know he's a dominant force in the red zone, but he also has a 100-yard upside in this matchup. A 7-120-2 line wouldn't surprise anyone, would it?

FULL-SLATE DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

FLEX: QB Tom Brady, Buccaneers ($11,400)

Brady stacked with a few pass-catchers has been a recipe for DFS success for most of the year, so we're running it back in the first round of the playoffs. Brady's numbers and resume speak for themselves, and he'll likely be the top "Captain" pick, so we'll avoid that chalk while still benefiting from his greatness. He's more than likely to hit the 300-yards passing bonus, too.

SUNDAY-ONLY DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

FLEX: WR Scottie Miller, Buccaneers ($4,400)

Our original pick here was Cyril Grayson (hamstring), but since he's now "doubtful" to play, Scottie Miller has a similar boom-or-bust profile. He's a speed-burner like Grayson and will likely share that deep-threat role with Breshad Perriman.

FLEX: RB Boston Scott, Eagles ($6,400)

Tampa Bay allowed the second-most receptions to RBs this year (117), so Scott should be in line for several dump downs. We'll see if he can be explosive with his touches, but since this is full-PPR scoring, we're happy to include him here. Miles Sanders will be coming off of a hand injury, so perhaps his role in the passing game will be limited, and Scott will be the satellite back here.

DRAFTKINGS SINGLE-GAME LINEUPS:
LV-CIN | NE-BUFSF-DAL | PIT-KC | ARI-LAR

FLEX: WR DeVonta Smith, Eagles ($8,400)

Smith is Jalen Hurts' No. 1 WR, but he doesn't get a ton of volume. In this spot, Philadelphia will likely have to pass more than they'd like to, so Smith could hit his 100-yard bonus whether it be in garbage time or not. Ultimately, we're building this lineup around the idea Tampa Bay scores with ease and puts up big numbers, so the natural counter is Smith on the other side of things.

FANDUEL SINGLE-GAME LINEUPS:
LV-CIN | NE-BUF | PHI-TB | SF-DAL | PIT-KC | ARI-LAR

FLEX: Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST ($5,000)

The Tampa Bay pass rush could prove to be too much for Hurts in his first career playoff game, and again, we're expecting the Eagles to have to pass to keep up. Philadelphia's run-first mindset will have to go by the wayside in this case, and the more Hurts is asked to pass, the more likely he is to make a mistake. It's tough to really project turnovers, but if nothing else, the Eagles should have a tough time scoring.
