NFL Week 5 Weather Updates: Moderate wind in forecast unlikely to affect fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions image

After a week that featured a fair amount of wind and rain, the Week 5 NFL weather forecast is considerably milder. Nonetheless, RotoGrinders' meteorologist Kevin Roth is here to help us break down the weather updates you need to know ahead of your fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

Before we get into the Week 5 forecasts, here's a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don't hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders' meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. WEEK 5 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'emIf a game

If a game isn't mentioned below, it's because it doesn't even have 10-mph winds or a 20-percent chance of rain in the forecast.

Steelers @ Bills. This game is currently set to see consistent 15-mph winds, but with rain unlikely outside of a short-lived light shower, there's no reason to bench any key skill players. Both kickers can still be used, too, if the current forecast holds.

Texans @ Jaguars. Another game with moderate wind (10-15 mph), but thankfully, the threat of rain is very low. There's no reason to bench any players you were planning on starting unless the forecast worsens.

WEEK 5 PPR RANKINGS:

Falcons @ Buccaneers. Winds are even milder for this one (10-12 mph), so stick with your starters. (UPDATE: Winds are now supposed to be even milder, so there's no reason to worry about this game.)

WEEK 5 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

Chargers @ Browns. Similar forecast to Falcons-Bucs (10-13-mph winds), so there's not enough reason to bench any usual starters.

Lions @ Patriots. Yet another game with winds in the 10-13-mph range. Fortunately, there aren't many players in the respective passing or kicking games worth using, but they likely won't be affected much anyway.

All of this is subject to change as we get closer to kickoff. You can follow meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) and check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. For the best weather-related fantasy advice, take a look at WeatherEdge.
