NFL Week 2 Weather Updates: Heat, rain could affect fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions image

Weather conditions didn't have a serious effect on any games last week, but there are a few worrisome spots on the Week 2 NFL weather forecast. One again, temperatures figure to be fairly high in a few spots, but that's not the worry. It's rain for Broncos-Jaguars, Falcons-Buccaneers, Titans-Seahawks, and Lions-Packers that could give fantasy football owners' pause when making some of their start 'em, sit 'em decisions. With the help of RotoGrinders' meteorologist Kevin Roth, we have the weather updates you need to know before finalizing your fantasy lineups.

Before we get into the Week 2 forecasts, here's a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don't hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders' meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. WEEK 2 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

NFL Week 2 weather updates

Forecasts courtesy for Kevin Roth at RotoGrinders.

Broncos @ Jaguars. There's a 50-70-percent chance of rain during the game, but even if showers are relatively light, it will be plenty humid with the temps in the mid-80s. That could create slippery conditions, which would likely affect the quarterbacks' abilities to grip the football and defensive backs making breaks. Overall, we don't think you should be too worried unless the forecast gets more ominous closer to kickoff.

WEEK 2 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo

Falcons @ Buccaneers. The forecast for this one is similar to the Broncos-Jaguars. Our advice is the same, especially since there are more "must-start" players in this one. Don't be worried about Calvin Ridley, Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski, or Kyle Pitts.

WEEK 2 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

RotoGrinders-Weather-Edge

Titans @ Seahawks. Temperatures for this one project to be in the upper-50s/low-60s, so it won't be as sticky as the Florida games, but rain is likely throughout. That's good news for power backs Chris Carson and Derrick Henry, but there's no need to worry about must-start WRs DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, or A.J. Brown.

WEEK 2 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

Lions @ Packers. Monday night in Lambeau will see a 60-percent chance of rain and winds gusting up to 12 mph. The rain is more likely in the second half than first. The Lions only have two players worth starting (T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift), so the weather shouldn't affect them (unless slippery conditions aggravate Swift's sore groin). The Packers have more startable players, and the current forecast isn't scary enough to worry about them given the matchup.
