NFL Weather Week 12: Light rain, wind in forecast unlikely to affect fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions image

Last week's Eagles-Chiefs game was impacted more than originally expected by steady rain, but for the most part, it's been a remarkably mild November across the league. That should continue on Thanksgiving weekend -- thanks in large part to nine indoor games -- as only some light rain and wind are expected. Nonetheless, RotoGrinders' meteorologist Kevin Roth is back to help us break down all the key weather updates before fantasy football owners lock in their start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

Before we get into the Week 12 forecasts, here's a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don't hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders' meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. To take your game to the next level, subscribe to RotoGrinders' exclusive WeatherEdge tool and see how different weather conditions have impacted historical scoring.

Note: If a game isn't mentioned below, it's because it doesn't even have 10-mph winds or a 20-percent chance of precipitation in the forecast.

Forecasts courtesy of Kevin Roth at RotoGrinders

Steelers @ Bengals. With a 30-percent chance of rain and winds around 10 mph, fantasy owners don't need to be worried much about the weather for this game. Neither team figures to be especially strong through the air given their QB situations, but don't let the conditions keep you from starting any of your usual Bengals or Steelers. (UPDATE: The chance for rain has increased to around 50 percent, but any rain is supposed to be early and light.)

Panthers @ Titans. There's a similar forecast in store for this game, with around a 25-percent chance of rain and 10-mph winds. The conditions shouldn't discourage you from starting Adam Thielen or DeAndre Hopkins. (UPDATE: If there's any rain for this game, it will be early and it will be light.)

WEEK 12 DFS:
DK lineup | FD lineup | Best values | Best stacks

Patriots @ Giants. Winds are expected to be light for this game, but there's around a 20-percent chance of rain. Unless the forecast worsens, there's no need to worry about the elements for what already figures to be an ugly game. (UPDATE: There's an even lower overall chance of rain now, though there could be some moderately heavy stuff toward the end of the game.)

WEEK 12 FANTASY ADVICE:
Sleepers | Busts | Projections | Start-sit

Bills @ Eagles. There's a 15-20-percent chance of rain, but with light winds and mild temperatures, there's no reason to even consider benching your key Bills or Eagles. (UPDATE: The chance for rain has increased, especially in the second half. This game will likely play a little wet, with some short-lived heavy stuff in the second half.)

All of this is subject to change as we get closer to kickoff. You can follow meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) and check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. For the best weather-related fantasy advice, take a look at WeatherEdge.
