NFL DFS Week 8 picks: DraftKings cash lineup, advice and strategy image

Ezekiel Elliott produced one of the best NFL DFS showings last week, and we'll hop on that train until the legal system says we can't and suspends him. In our Week 8 daily fantasy football DraftKings cash lineup picks, we're not going to miss out on a performance like that again, so we're jamming our lineups with Elliott.

LeSean McCoy and Jarvis Landry lifted us to 121 DraftKings points last week, despite getting burned by our stack last Sunday. If you took our advice, you probably landed right around the cash line on a slate thanks to so many traps — Titans, Panthers, Packers and Cardinals — and only half the combined totals topping 40. Also, we hope you didn't run into Elliott.

The DraftKings cash lineup construction obviously isn't chasing points this week; instead, it's coming to terms with a much smaller pool with six teams on bye. It's definitely Team Jam Zeke this Sunday.

NFL DFS Week 8 Picks: DraftKings cash lineup

For DraftKings' nine-game featured slate for NFL Week 8.

QB

Sunday morning pivot: Andy Dalton, CIN vs. IND ($5700): We'll fade the heavy wind and rain hitting the Meadowlands by paying the $100 we have left over to get Dalton, who faces the fifth-most generous defense for opposing quarterbacks in DraftKings points. Will probably be chalk, but we don't mind here in cash.

Previous: Josh McCown, NYJ vs. ATL ($5600): We're budgeting right off the bat with the third cheapest quarterback out of the 18 starters on slate. Only one of those 14 more expensive quarterbacks have more passing yards or dropbacks than McCown over the past two weeks. It's a bit weird to see that when Atlanta's defense isn't considered a stay-away.

RB Ezekiel Elliott, DAL @ WAS ($9200): The Redskins are riddled with injuries on defense, and the Cowboys hover around field-goal favorites. We know Elliott gets fed 20-plus touches if the Cowboys stay close or if it's a blowout. The Le'Veon Bell price is earned on a Le'Veon Bell-free slate.

RB Chris Thompson, WAS vs. DAL ($5800): The slate is too small not to hammer the one game getting a 50-plus Vegas total. Injuries hit Washington's three best offensive linemen, so the checkdown should get prioritized with Thompson already leading all backs in receiving yards.

WR Amari Cooper, OAK @ BUF ($6600): TreDavious White has proved to be a draft steal, but it doesn't mean Buffalo wipes out alpha WRs, ask Mike Evans. Cooper ranks 11th in WR targets despite facing a murderer's row of corners, and now follows his breakout with a banged up secondary.

WEEK 8 RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

WR T.Y. Hilton, IND @ CIN ($5600): The post-Jags price deflation helps us out here. Many will say "don't take T.Y. outdoors," since he's struggled on the road so far this year. However, he averaged 117 receiving yards in his last four outdoor games last season, so I'm not scared!

WR Mohamed Sanu, ATL @ NYJ ($4900): Sanu returned from injury to double-digit targets on Sunday, having hit at least six in every game he's finished. He gets a Jets defense that just allowed nearly pass 200 yards to Matt Moore in half a game, including 80-plus days for Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry.

TE Jordan Reed, WAS vs. DAL ($4700): Reed returned to form just after the prices were set, going ham for 26 DraftKing points. We're not overthinking the Monday night discount here.

FLEX Brandon LaFell, CIN vs. IND ($3700): The Steelers pass rush ate Andy Dalton alive, but LaFell ran one fewer route than A.J. and capitalized on a target from inside the 10. Cincy arrives home to play the Colts, a team known for fixing fantasy woes and allowing the seventh-most DraftKings points to WRs.

D/ST Eagles vs. 49ers ($3800): CJ Beathard revived the Cowboys pass rush by taking four sacks, while Philly ranks ninth after sacking Kirk Cousins four times. A two-touchdown favorite facing a rookie, sign us up.
