NFL DFS Week 5 Picks: DraftKings cash lineup, advice, strategy image

Last week's cash lineup hit 130 on DraftKings, much thanks to Ezekiel Elliott and DeAndre Hopkins, and hopefully, it helped you make some money in Week 4 daily fantasy football.  This week, we hope to find similar success and make some more money in our Week 5 DraftKings cash lineup with advice and strategy to help you make your picks.

After jumping on the back of one of the top RBs last week we're jumping onto the back another one with Le'Veon Bell for NFL Week 5. We're a little bit wary of next-tier RB pricing on the DK featured slate, but that's fine because high-volume receivers are on the cheap.

WEEK 5 RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

NFL DFS Week 5 Picks: DraftKings cash lineup

For 11-game featured slate starting Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

QB: Eli Manning, NYG vs. LAC ($6,100):  The putrid run game raises Manning's floor, and it bolstered consecutive 28-point weeks for him on DraftKings. Also, the Giants rank second in pass ratio and attempts. It could also be a high-scoring affair since last year's conservative formula isn't working as Big Blue has fallen to 26th in total defense.

RB: Le'Veon Bell, PIT vs. JAX ($9,500): Pittsburgh gets the fourth-friendliest defense to opposing RBs in DraftKings scoring — just as Le'Veon officially shook off the rust with 39 touches for 186 total yards on Sunday. It's expensive, but we're "Team Jam Him In" this week.

RB: Carlos Hyde, SF @ IND ($6,900): Hyde joins only Zeke, Le'Veon, Gurley and Shady as backs that rank top 12 in both RB catches and carries. We've played each, but unlike those running backs, we get to hammer Hyde for sub-7K every week. And we do.

WEEK 5 DFS:

WR: Pierre Garcon, SF @ IND ($6,100): Garcon had to deal with Patrick Peterson for most of last week, so throw that out. He should return to the steady producer who ranked top 10 among receivers in targets and yards entering the Arizona game, with little reason to believe Vontae Davis will shadow.

WR: T.Y. Hilton, IND vs. SF ($6,000): Hilton likewise comes off a tough matchup, a whole Seahawks pass defense that hit its typical October "Get Right Week" at home on Sunday night. Hilton led the league in receiving yards from Weeks 2-to-3 with Jacoby Brissett at the helm.

WR: Jermaine Kearse, NYJ @ CLE ($4,500): The target leader for the (functional) Jets pass offense will get the chance to do work against a Browns defense that revived Andy Dalton last week.

TE: Evan Engram, NYG vs. LAC ($4,000): Engram is tied with Rob Gronkowski for second in tight end targets and ranks top 10 in catches and yards. At $4,000 in a Jam Le'Veon lineup, this is easy.

FLEX: Jaron Brown, ARI @ PHI ($4,500): John Brown's return cut JJ Nelson's playing time, while Jaron Brown finished in the top 5 among receivers last week in targets, catches and yards. He also ranks top 30 in targets and yards on the season, so take advantage of DK's slow adjustment to this WR situation.

D/ST: Cardinals @ Eagles ($2,300): At the price of jamming Bell and getting high floors elsewhere, we're taking a calculated risk of saving at defense. Fortunately, the No. 9 team in total defense will have Patrick Peterson to shadow Alshon Jeffery. TE Zach Ertz also has a tough draw since the Cardinals have allowed an average of 32 yards to No. 1 tight ends. With Darren Sproles done and Jeffery and Ertz facing tough matchups, it'll be a big test for Carson Wentz and quietly a smart pick for this lineup.
