Monday Night Football FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 6 Chiefs-Bills single-game tournaments image

Thursday Night Football on Monday night? What could be better!? Because of the postponement of the Bills-Titans game last week to Tuesday, the Bills' Thursday night clash with the Chiefs was moved to Monday at 5 p.m. ET. As a result, NFL fans get another Monday night doubleheader, and avid NFL DFS players will have a chance to craft a couple of lineups for what should be an intriguing slate. Our FanDuel single-game lineup for Bills-Chiefs takes a look at the early game and is stocking up on passing-game weapons in what could be a high-scoring game.

Our strategy here is to bank on a potential shootout but to target one of the biggest weaknesses on the slate. The Bills have not been good against TEs this year, so this feels like a smash spot for Travis Kelce. We wanted to get him, a top QB, and a few other receiving weapons, so this is the lineup we came up for in this week's early game.

MONDAY INJURY UPDATES: John Brown

FanDuel Single-Game Picks: Bills vs. Chiefs

MVP (1.5x points): Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs ($16,500)

We're not getting cute at the MVP spot this week. Patrick Mahomes is the highest-priced player on this slate. He's averaging 27.77 FanDuel points per game and has yet to total fewer than 20 in a game. He also has multiple TDs in eight consecutive games including the playoffs. The stats showcase that Mahomes is a safe play, and after losing to the Raiders, he should be as motivated as ever to lead the Chiefs to a bounce-back performance against a tougher Bills defense. Josh Allen would be a fine pivot here, as he may be a lower-owned option compared to Mahomes given his performance last week, but we're going to stick with the reigning Super Bowl MVP in this spot.

FLEX: Stefon Diggs, Bills ($14,000)

Not only are we fading Allen as a captain, we're also fading him altogether. It's simply too difficult to fit both him and Mahomes into a competitive lineup, so we'll compensate for that by targeting one of Allen's top weapons instead. Diggs has logged at least 12.6 FD points in each of his outings this year and is seeing the fifth-most targets in the league among WRs at 10.2 per game. Diggs should fare well against a defense that just allowed the Raiders to throw for 347 yards on them.

FLEX: Travis Kelce, Chiefs ($13,000)

The Bills haven't even played their sixth game yet, but they still rank second in the league in total yards allowed to tight ends behind only the Falcons. And the Bills are allowing a league-high 86.3 yards per game to TEs. Perhaps with their defense now closer to fully healthy, they'll be a bit better, but they're facing their stiffest competition yet at the TE spot. Kelce has double-digit FD points in four of his five games this season and is averaging 81 receiving yards per game so far this year. He should have a lot of success against the Bills, and he could be a more contrarian MVP pick in this contest.

WEEK 7 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

FLEX: Cole Beasley, Bills ($10,000)

John Brown (calf) is questionable for this contest, so if he can't play, Beasley will be the No. 2 receiver for the Bills. Beasley is a steady presence and is averaging 6.0 targets, 4.8 catches, and 62.6 receiving yards per game this season. That translates to 9.86 FD points per game. Beasley can be trusted as one of our lower-priced plays given his high floor and his ability to pop the occasional 100-yard game.

WEEK 7 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

FLEX: Demarcus Robinson, Chiefs ($6,500)

Robinson is one of the best value plays on this FanDuel slate, and he won't likely be highly owned. Robinson had four targets against the Raiders, but he caught just two of them for two yards. However, Robinson did play 68 percent of the snaps and should be on the field for a similar portion of the game with Sammy Watkins (hamstring) out. The Bills will be more focused on containing Tyreek Hill and trying to stop Travis Kelce, so if Robinson lines up against Josh Norman on the outside, perhaps he can produce a big gain downfield and reach the end zone, something that has eluded him thus far in 2020.
