Keenan Allen's return from a season-ending kidney injury last year didn't last long, as the Chargers' top receiver went down with a serious knee injury late in the first half Sunday against the Chiefs.

Allen wasn't the only fantasy receiver in pain after Week 1. The Bills' Sammy Watkins is dealing with pain in his surgically repaired foot, while the Broncos Demaryius Thomas is nursing a hip injury. Let's take a look at the latest injury updates for these key fantasy receivers to help get your lineups in order for Week 2.

Keenan Allen suffers torn ACL

As initially feared, Keenan Allen suffered a torn right ACL in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs and is lost for the season. The only good news for Allen's fantasy owners is that there could be several high-impact receivers on the waiver wire to help replace their WR1. One of those could be Travis Benjamin, who stands tp benefit from Allen's absence, but the Chargers also have another sleeper mentioned in our waiver wire pickups this week, so check 'em out.

Sammy Watkins injury update

There was speculation Monday morning that the Bills could be considering shutting down Sammy Watkins for "several weeks" while he deals with "severe discomfort" in his surgically repaired foot, and could even miss the rest of the season.

While this is terrible news for Watkins' fantasy owners the sometimes-reliable Ian Rapoport says the Bills don't plan on shutting down Watkins, who will "likely have to play through pain this year." It's a wide range of possibilities, but we'll keep you posted. Losing Watkins for any length of time hurts Tyrod Taylor's fantasy outlook.

Is Demaryius Thomas hurt?

The Broncos' Demaryius Thomas had an MRI on his hip Friday after the Panthers game Thursday night, but was able to participate in some on-field work Monday. It's hard to glean much from that tidbit, but it's a good sign Thomas was with the team, and Adam Schefter reported that Gary Kubiak said Thomas was "feeling better," and is expected to practice Wednesday. If not, we'll have another update on Thomas' status for Week 2. The Colts' decimated secondary is up next for Thomas and the Broncos.
