Fantasy Football Injury Updates: Robert Woods, Chris Hogan, JuJu Smith-Schuster lead list of hurt WRs heading into Week 13 image

Wide receivers are still leading the charger for the Week 13 injury report. Many of these players, like Chris Hogan, Will Fuller, and Sterling Shepard, have missed multiple weeks already, but players like JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kelvin Benjamin, Robert Woods and Rishard Matthews were fresh inactives last week. Fantasy owners are itching for updates on their statuses -- especially before they have to finalize waiver wire claims and start 'em, sit 'em decisions -- so let's dive into what we know.

For updates on QB, RBs, and TEs, including Devonta Freeman, Jameis Winston, Jordan Reed and more, go here.

We'll continue to follow these injury reports all week, so check back or follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Is Robert Woods playing in Week 13?

After suffering a shoulder injury in Week 12, it was forecasted that Woods would miss a couple weeks, according to head coach Sean McVay. According to this timetable, he still wouldn't be ready for this Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

No new information has come out since he was ruled inactive on Sunday. Fantasy owners of Cooper Kupp, Sammy Watkins and Woods should continue to monitor Woods' status throughout the week, since his return would likely diminish the value of Kupp and Watkins. Jared Goff remains a solid QB1, though.

JuJu Smith-Schuster injury update

What was first described as a "small" hamstring issue ended up costing Smith-Schuster Week 12.  On Tuesday, head coach Mike Tomlin said Smith-Schuster has a chance to play on Monday night agains the Bengals.

Fantasy owners will have to continue monitoring his status throughout the week, although this might come down to a game-time decision on Monday night. If Martavis Bryant is available, he would be a good backup plan. Beyond him, your only other real options would be Brandon LaFell or maybe Tyler Boyd.

Will Rishard Matthews return this week?

Matthews missed Week 12 against the Colts after injuring his hamstring during practice last Thursday. On Monday, coach Mike Mularkey said Matthews is listed as "day to day."

After missing Sunday, it was expected that Corey Davis and Eric Decker would benefit the most, but instead, Mariota continued to target Delanie Walker over and over. Playing the Texans this week, Davis and Decker should fare a little bit better, but Walker will likely stay the main target should Matthews miss another week.

Sterling Shepard injury update

Shepard has missed two straight games with migraines, however, it's worth noting that a quick turnaround for a Thursday game last week didn't help his cause. He at least joined the team in Washington for the Thankgiving nightcap, but his headaches were still too problmematic.

So far, there have been nothing new regarding his status on Sunday against the Raiders, but with over a full week to recover, there's reason to be optimistic. A reason not to be optimistic -- Geno Smith replacing Eli Manning at QB for the Giants. Given the matchup, Shepard is still at least a WR3 if he plays, but his ceiling is lower with Smith under center.

Chris Hogan injury news

Hogan (shoulder) was ruled out early before the Dolphins game in Week 12, and his outlook for Week 13 doesn't look like it'll be changing any time soon  Hogan has been missing in action -- both from game days and practice days -- since he first injured the shoulder in Week 8.

Danny Amendola benefits the most, although he's really only had one good game during Hogan's absence. The Patriots are notoriously secretive about injuries, but no news does not appear to be good news in regards to Hogan. We'll find out more as the week goes on.

Kelvin Benjamin injury update

On Monday, the Bills confirmed that Benjamin has suffered a torn meniscus. Normally, the injury would require multiple weeks to recover -- and Benjamin has only missed one week so far -- but the Bills currently have him listed as "day to day".

The Bills are hopeful he can return this week, but he's questionable (at best) right now and leaning on the wrong side of questionable. Zay Jones caught a touchdown and led the team in targets and catches last week, but any of Jones, Jordan Matthews and Deonte Thompson could be the Bills top wide receiver in a given week, to say nothing of Charles Clay and LeSean McCoy. This is a situation to avoid, if possible.

Will Fuller injury news

Before the weekend started, Fuller (ribs) was ruled inactive against the Ravens in Week 12. Similar to Shepard, no new information has came out regarding his status for this week against the Titans, but we should learn more about it in the next couple days.

DeAndre Hopkins won't be affected by Fuller's return, but Bruce Ellington would become nearly worthless in terms of fantasy value as long as Tom Savage is still behind center.
