Is Mark Andrews playing Week 7? Fantasy injury update for Ravens-Browns image

Mark Andrews is off to a phenomenal start once again this season, but a knee injury complicates his status for Baltimore's Week 7 matchup against Cleveland. With Andrews sitting as a set-it-and-forget-it TE1 when healthy, his playing status has a huge effect on fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions. Darren Waller (hamstring) has already been ruled out, and with Dallas Goedert, Dawson Knox, Tyler Higbee, and Irv Smith Jr. on bye, the Week 7 TE rankings are already thin. If Andrews is out, a waiver-wire sleeper like Ravens backup Isaiah Likely could find his way into starting lineups.

We'll continue to update this article with news on Andrews until the official active/inactive report comes out on Sunday around 11:35 a.m. ET.

Is Mark Andrews playing Week 7?

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Andrews is expected to play against Cleveland.

UPDATE 2: Andrews is officially ACTIVE for Week 7.

Andrews (knee) is officially listed as "questionable" leading into Sunday afternoon's home matchup against the Browns. Andrews didn't practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but he was a limited participant in Friday's session. Head coach John Harbaugh said Andrews' had a "rest day" on Wednesday, but he seemed to miss practice due on Thursday due to his knee ailment. According to ESPN's Jamison Hensely, Andrews told the media, “My body feels good. I’m ready to go.”

WEEK 7 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

If Andrews is active, he's a must-start in all formats, and he ranks as SN Fantasy's No.1 overall TE in standard and PPR formats. Entering Week 7, Andrews sits atop numerous stat categories, most notably leading all TEs in targets (57), route participation (98.3 percent), air yards (641), and yards per route run (2.56). He's Baltimore's unquestioned No. 1 option in the receiving game and is a threat to rack up 100 receiving yards and a TD every week. If Andrews ends up missing Week 7, backup Isaiah Likely would be a viable streaming option, and he would likely see six-plus targets. Lamar Jackson's fantasy value takes a bit of a dip, but there's no reason to leave him on the bench.

WEEK 7 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Despite Cleveland allowing the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to TEs (7.8), a tougher matchup shouldn't worry Andrews' owners. He's seen double-digit targets in all but two games this season, scoring fewer than 10 PPR fantasy points just once. Andrews is as consistent as it gets at tight-end, and even if he isn't 100 percent, his ability to be a safety blanket for Jackson warrants him as the overall TE1 or TE2 in Week 7.
