Fantasy Injury Updates: Is Julian Edelman playing Monday night? Is Phillip Dorsett playing Monday night? (Updated) image

Julian Edelman and Phillip Dorsett are both questionable for Monday Night Football's Patriots vs. Jets contest to end Week 7. Edelman is the more prominent fantasy football option, but Dorsett could be a fantasy sleeper, especially for owners who've already had Josh Gordon ruled out. The Patriots are also without Rex Burkhead, Ryan Izzo and Matt LaCosse due to injury. The official active/inactive report should come out at about 6:45 p.m. ET on Monday night, and we'll have all the latest injury updates until then.

Is Julian Edelman playing Monday night?

UPDATE: Edelman is officially ACTIVE.

Edelman (ribs) has been battling this same injury for multiple weeks, but it hasn't held him out of a game. He practiced in limited fashion all week, as he's been doing virtually all season. Unless something was somehow aggravated in the last couple days, Edelman should be good to go for Monday night.

If you've held out this long for Edelman, you're definitely playing him. There's no reason to be worried, either. The Jets looked better with a competent QB against Dallas last week, but Edelman should see 10 targets and be an asset for all his fantasy owners.

Is Phillip Dorsett playing Monday night?

UPDATED: Dorsett is officially ACTIVE.

Dorsett (hamstring) also practiced in limited fashion all week. Dorsett sat out Week 6 due to his injury, but his usage in all three days of practice suggests he will probably also be active against the Jets.

There's definitely more of a question mark next to Dorsett, though, since this injury forced him to miss a game, unlike Edelman's ribs. If you're counting on Dorsett, there won't be a lot of options for you to pivot to if he's out. The most direct option if Dorsett is inactive is Patriots' rookie Jakobi Meyers, who would step into Dorsett's spot. If someone already made the Meyers add, you'll have to check in on Jets' WRs Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Demaryius Thomas, who is the most likely to be available of the trio.
