Is Jeff Wilson Jr. playing Saturday night? Fantasy injury update for Dolphins-Bills Week 15 (Updated) image

Since getting dealt to Miami prior to the trade deadline, Jeff Wilson Jr. has emerged as a key cog in the Dolphins' running game. However, after suffering a hip injury last Sunday night, his status is up in the air for Miami's Saturday night tilt in Buffalo, opening the door for a big Raheem Mostert game. Whether you own Wilson Jr., Mostert, or both, it's crucial to stay on top of the latest updates before locking in your Week 15 start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

We'll continue to update this article with news on Wilson Jr. until the official active/inactive report comes out on Saturday around 6:45 p.m. ET.

Is Jeff Wilson Jr. playing Saturday night Week 15?

UPDATE: Wilson Jr. is officially OUT.

Wilson Jr. (hip) is officially listed as "questionable" ahead of Miami's Week 15 road contest in Buffalo. He didn't practice on Tuesday or Wednesday but was able to participate in a limited fashion to finish the week. That certainly boosts his prospects of suiting up for a key divisional game, but he's still a true "game-time decision."

WEEK 15 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Wilson Jr.'s past two weeks have been rough for his fantasy owners, as he's logged just 29 rushing yards on five carries and failed to record a reception on two targets. His hip injury forced him out of game action in the first half last week, but he was sparsely used and eventually scripted out of Miami's 33-17 loss to San Francisco in Week 13. The good news is he was splitting time almost equally with Raheem Mostert before the injury last week, so Week 13's one-touch performance looks like an aberration. He still has flex upside, as he ranks eighth in yards per touch (5.6) to go along with an 8.8-percent breakaway run rate (fourth among RBs).

Perhaps most important, with the forecast calling for snow and wind in Buffalo, Miami could employ a more run-heavy approach, which would result in more touches overall for both Wilson Jr. and Mostert.

WEEK 15 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Mostert is a "must-start" if Wilson Jr. misses Week 15. Even with Buffalo employing one of the better run defenses (-0.132 EPA/rush), Mostert would likely see around 20 touches. Opportunities equal value in the fantasy world, and Mostert would have plenty of both. Salvon Ahmed and Miles Gaskin could see a few carries and targets here and there, but Mostert is likely to see the vast majority of Miami's RB snaps.
